(Verse 1) In the heart of a town, where the gears do resound, Lived a hard-working tech, the best to be found. In his shop full of tools, under neon tube light, He worked through the day, and late into the night.
His name it was Bill, a master of trade, No car left his shop without improvements made. One day rolled in a Dodge, Avenger by name, A battery issue, a common, frustrating game.
(Chorus) Oh, sing of Bill's struggle, his battle in kind, Against stubborn bolts and the passing of time, But a master's true mettle isn't found in the clear, It's the storms he can weather, the challenges he'll steer.
(Verse 2) The battery hid, in the wheel well confined, A puzzle to test both the hand and the mind. First off came the tire, then panel unscrewed, Then he saw the challenge that he had pursued.
The battery nestled, a beast in its lair, Each bolt a dragon, each wire a snare. His brow, it did furrow, his palms start to sweat, But a tech like our Bill, heād not let fret beset.
(Chorus) Sing, sing of Bill's toil, his battle anew, With a ratchet and wrench, and a deep breath he drew. For every task met with a steadfast gaze, Defines the true craftsman, through smoke and haze.
(Verse 3) Negative off first, then the positive band, He coaxed out the battery with skilled, steady hand. A new one he placed, connected it right, Tested the start, the engine roared with might.
His heart it did lift, a smile crossed his face, The Dodge Avenger roared, restored to grace. Another day's work, another battle won, Under the flickering neon, a new day begun.
(Chorus) Oh, sing of Bill's victory, his tale to tell, In the heart of the shop where the true warriors dwell. His battle with bolts, his war against time, A song for the ages, a mechanic's prime.
(Outro) And so ends our ballad, a tale of the brave, Of an Avenger restored, a journey we gave. So raise your voice high, let the echoes rebound, In praise of the tech, the best to be found.

Ā Ā Ā Read moreWent to them for a brake check. When braking the front end shakes and shimmers. I thought it might be a warped rotor. The mechanic did not see a warped rotor and told me the front brakes were fine but the rears were almost completely gone. He quoted over $800 dollars for things that I did not need. He quoted me for calipers and rears and saying the fronts were fine. I asked if he test drove to feel the shimmy while braking, he said no. I also asked him if he could see the warped rotor and he claimed no, and that sometimes you cant see it being warped. If he didnt test drive or see the issue how can you diagnose the issue? I have worked on many brakes, and worked at Firestone Complete autocare. I used to work on cars/trucks all the time and it sounded very strange to me. I refused service because I knew they were misdiagnosing and trying to upsell me parts that I did not need. I talked to the front service person as well she was just as green when it comes to mechanics as she had an excuse for my concern. I went home checked out my brakes myself and instantly saw the front left rotor warped and on the right side it was grooved. I paid $182 for the front rotors, and front and rear pads. Its crazy how much places like these lie and cheat customers. I would go somewhere else for service as you cannot trust their word. They also dont physically show the customer what the issue is on the vehicle. If they were just honest and diagnosed it properly I would have paid to...

Iāve been taking my vehicle to the Les Schwab in Brookings, Oregon for as long as I can remember. This shop has always represented the best of a down-home, family-run business: honest, reliable, and truly committed to taking care of their customers.
Most recently, I brought in my 10-year-old F250, which has been struggling a bit after I added a cab-over slide-in camper. I needed airbags installed, and from the moment I walked in, Cody went above and beyond to help me out. He had an appointment available for Friday, but when I told him I had to leave town, he made my truck a priorityāeven though he didnāt have to.
I dropped it off the night before, and Cody kept me updated every step of the way. He called to confirm when the parts arrived, updated me about a complication with my gooseneck hitch, and let me know that my rear shocks were completely blown. Even though this added a lot of extra work, the team still finished everything the same day so I could safely hit the road.
A huge shoutout to Todd, who did the heavy lifting and worked so hard to make it happen. The whole crew was friendly, professional, and just plain kind.
Codyās communication, friendliness, and dedication to real customer service is something you donāt see every dayāand it deserves to be recognized. This is an amazing team, and Iām so...
