Nordstrom Rack Experience -
After selecting a few clothes to try, my husband and I went to the men's fitting room and we were abruptly told by an African American female staff that the fitting room was closed and she told us to use the other 'unisex' fitting room. It was only then that she put a sign Closed in front of us.
When we got to the other fitting room, we politely requested for an extra large fitting room and the staff happily accommodated us with one.
Whilst we were trying on our clothes we could hear the female African American female staff talking to her colleague and asking "where are those 2 guys? Are they in one of the fitting rooms here?" To which her colleague replied "Yes, they are in the disabled fitting room." The African American female staff told her colleague "That fitting room is for wheelchair customers only!!" To which her colleague replied "It's ok, they are already in, let them use it"
After trying on the clothes that we wanted to buy, we exited the fitting room and the female African American staff told us in a rude manner "put all the unwanted clothes on the hanging rack!" She then continued sighing and screamed "Where are all the hangers for your unwanted clothes? I continued walking out of the fitting room to proceed to the cashier and she moaned "Oh my god!!!" and continued taking to herself.
I went back to her, and told her that if she is not happy to work here, maybe this job is not suitable for her, to which she became more rude and aggressive towards me and sarcasticly shouted " I LOVE MY JOB!!! Other customers also noticed that she was creating a scene unnecessarily.
We found out later her name is Donna.
Me and my husband shared our experience with the store manager at the checkout counter and the manager specifically asked us to capture our experience in detail and file a complaint.
Donna does not seem fit for her job, she was rude, hostile and aggressive towards us. Her behaviour is unacceptable as a front liner working in the customer service industry.
Me and my partner have done a lot of shopping in Nordstrom Rack across the USA and we have never come across this kind of behaviour and attitude before.
The fact that Donna followed us from one fitting room to another to tell us off and educate us on how and what we should do while shopping in a Nordstrom Rack store was simply astounding.
I hope the company will take our complaint seriously and take...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMy spouse worked at this store and was praised constantly for how good of a job he was doing during his first few months there. Then suddenly one day an assistant manager young enough that she probably still wears her high school letter jacket decided that she had something against him (her name rhymes with Bella). She claimed that he used an offensive racial slur talking about a customer in front of her (which is not only against his character but would be really stupid considering he didn't even know her). On the day that this supposedly happened, she had no reaction in front of him but decided to go straight to corporate about it a week later. He was told that there would be an "investigation" and an entire month went by and he didn't hear anything from corporate. During this time he said nothing to her except what was required by the job and she's asking him if he's okay. (Okay but why would you want to be friendly with someone who supposedly said something that offensive?)
Then all of a sudden his boss tells him one day that he's been fired because corporate's "investigation" found that he "failed to create a positive work environment." And this happened literally hours after his boss was praising him on a company call for being a great employee. At no time was he interviewed by corporate, at no time was his teammate that he worked with 40 hours a week interviewed by corporate. When he appealed the decision and asked what the investigation entailed, they said they talked to the accuser. That's it. (Oh and when they tried to deny his unemployment and were asked for proof of him "violating company policy" they couldn't come up with anything. Surprise!)
I personally want nothing to do with a company that has no interest in facts or doing due diligence and would rather fire a good worker based on the claims of someone who hasn't even been there for six months. But the good news is, if you go shopping at this location and decide you don't like one of the employees, you can just contact corporate and tell them that the employee said something offensive and they'll probably just fire them. If that is how they treat their employees, how do they treat...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreYou are watched like a hawk as if they assume you are going to shoplift. I was shopping yesterday with my son and stroller and I couldnāt carry a shoe box I attended to purchase(because I couldnāt carry shoebox and push a stroller at the same time) I asked the employee where I can store these shoes while I continue to shop. She said they will be right here(on a desk area right next to the shoe rack) I told her my name and she didnāt write it down next to the box or anything. I go back to the area as I am about to purchase my items and what do you know?? The shoe box is gone. She pages her manager(a black male) asking if he has put back a pair of shoes. He says no. All she had to say was sorry. Who leaves an item that acustomer wants unidentified right next to the shoe rack?? To top it all off. This morning I was going through my purchased items, mind you my purchase was over $100, and my jewelry was not in my bag. I remember the cashier wrapping it up in tissue paper, but it was not put in my bag. The cashier probably just forgot to put in it my bag. I have been on and off the phone with āmanagementā for 3 hours. My last phone attempt I was speaking to a female manager who was very rude and hung up quite abruptly. Mind you the store closes in an hr and 15min and I would like my jewelry to wear tomorrow.
Nice selection of clothes. HORRIBLE customer service. Donāt shop online either, your shoes will come worn as if you purchased them from a consignment shop. I wish I was able to...
