Review for Dumpling Master
This was my second visit to Dumpling Master, but this time I made sure to take pictures and really enjoy the full experience—especially on a lively Friday night.
Helen was wonderful this evening! She went out of her way to help with my mother’s allergy and even provided great recommendations. I especially enjoyed the wonton soup and the BBQ pork bun, and the drinks were excellent too. On my first visit, Mark had helped me, and I want to thank both of them for making each experience terrific. 🙂
Now for a few pennies for thought:
The restaurant has a nice spacious layout, but the flow could improve. I noticed that two people often sit in booths designed for four, which created a waiting list. Converting some of those booths to 2-person seating—especially on the side by the restrooms—could help maximize space. 😏
If the outside area is permitted for use, it could become a fun Instagram-worthy spot. Imagine a temple-style red roof, dumpling artwork, or a little history of dumplings displayed—it would be such a draw! 😀 The outdoor space could also work beautifully for dumpling-making classes, which I think customers would absolutely love.
A “wall of dumpling plushies,” fun keychains, or picture-friendly lighting could also make the space even more memorable and interactive.
Overall, I really enjoyed my time here again and can’t wait to come back. Thank you, Helen and Mark, for making my visits...
Read moreHonestly super disappointed with this place. I was so excited after seeing videos of the food on tiktok and it being so local to me. My mom, my 2 kids, and I came in today. A gentleman immediately greeted us and sat us. He brought us waters and nice paper plates for my kids immediately after seating. After waiting for 15 minutes for anyone to come take our order and drink order we were about to get up to leave a different gentleman than who sat us came by and took our order. Mind you, there were only 3 other tables and 1 was leaving. Food came out quickly but appetizers came out after my entree. Not a huge deal. Then our entire time sitting there, not a single person came up to our table to refill waters or take plates so we were staking them on the side of our table to make space. The robot that brings the food and drinks came to the table more times than any person. We finish our food and a 3rd person a lady came to our table asked if we wanted a box and closed us out right there. After spending $85 i dont think its worth it. Dumplings is one of my favorite things to eat and it wasn't even amazing. Not bad but not amazing. That plus the service really made our time there a negative one. I dont understand why I was asked for a tip when we saw 2 different people once each the entire time while the robot came 5 times to bring food. I tipped 15% as a courtesy but it should have been 0. Sorry I won't...
Read moreWe visited for the soft opening. We've been excitedly anticipating trying Dumpling Master for the first time.
The staff was amicable enough. They have the robots deliver the meals to their table, but the waiter takes the order. We got 4 meals. Two of them (the soups) came first. The soup dumplings came next. And everyone was done with their meal before the last order arrived, which was the shen jian bao. I believe they forgot about that last dish, although they were all ordered together.
The soup dumplings were ok. The shen jian bao, spicy pork wonton soup,c and the beef noodle soup were all delicious.
The milk teas were good, but the tapioca was just ok.
Overall, we had a good experience. One thing I would note, though, is that it was very warm inside (and it's an August day in GA- 90+ degrees outside). It sounded like the AC was running, but even before getting our food, we were sweating. I do feel they need to improve, because it made for a stuffy, warm environment.
We look forward to returning.
UPDATE: We returned for a second time and had a pleasant experience. This time, it was dinner time, and there was a bit of a wait. The staff was nice and prompt. We enjoyed our meal very much. We got the Szechuan chicken, which was so delicious, and the pork and seafood pan fried dumplings. Both dishes were great and we look forward to...
