Decided to try this location because it was new and I've been to the Suwanee location. Most likely won't visit this location again. There were 6 of us and we were shown our table at 8:10pm. Everything started out fine then went down hill swiftly. Drinks were brought out and our 1 appetizer. Once we finished the appetizer, the waitress asked if we were ready to order (generally this happens while you're eating your appetizer). She takes our order and let's just say we received 3 of our meals and was told the rest were coming. We waited another 30 minutes and still no other meals, not to mention I explained to her that my bowl was missing the veggies and she went on to tell me that it didn't come with the veggies that clearly it states on the menu. She said she'd bring some out however that never happened. Not one time were we offered drink refills, water, more chips and queso or anything else while we continued to wait for now over an hour. The waitress came back over and said the food was coming and I asked "what is going on" she said "I don't know," but said she was going to speak with the manager. A gentleman came over about 15 minutes later to apologize and stated the food had been dropped and everyone makes mistakes. He went on to say he was having everything remade and it would be brought out soon. 2 more meals came out and he asks, "is that everything," I said no, my baby still needs her food. Her food was brought out and he stated the bill would be covered except the drinks. I told him my bowl still didn't have the grilled onions and peppers and now it was cold, he had it remade. They brought out the "remade" bowl and it still didn't have grilled onions and peppers (remove it from the menu if you're not going to include it). When we left it was after 10pm. The location was busy so I'm sure they won't miss my dollars, but I definitely won't...
Read moreMy husband and I visited this location this past weekend. It was really busy so when we came in, we put our names on the list however, we decided to go upstairs and see if they had seating at the bar. When I went upstairs, I found one seat to the left of me was sitting two Hispanic guys to the right was too of another race. I sat talking to the guys and they were getting ready to leave so my husband was able to sit down. The two guys on the left were checked out. We continued to sit there without being acknowledged and he started making drinks. OK I gave a little grace because it is busy but then another bartender came over Speaking to the other guys, we made eye contact and still did NOT acknowledge us. I was waiting for them to break in the conversation to ask for a menu, but as soon as she finished talking, she grabbed their dishes from the counter and walked in the opposite direction. We were completely ignored as if we weren’t even there even though they made eye contact with us multiple times. I was pissed and just got up and went back downstairs. One of the waitresses I believe may have seen the interaction so she followed us onto the elevator. She was really nice and she got a manager to speak with us when we got downstairs. he basically said us really quickly and discounted our ticket, but it doesn’t change the experience and how I felt. The food was good and our waitress that we had downstairs was great. I just don’t appreciate being treated like that. Yes, I absolutely believe it was due to racism. That’s not OK nobody should be treated like that. And I hope the manager did something about the actions of the two employees upstairs. Ultimately, due to that experience, I likely won’t be back, even though I was super excited when I came up to bring...
Read more3/15/24... again, Tequila Mama's knocked it out of the park with their phenomenal service! Our server, Juan H, was great from the outset. But, when he checked back with us after our entrées were brought, it was mentioned that the steak was overcooked after asking for medium-rare. Juan H immediately went to work on getting that corrected and another steak (cooked PERFECTLY) was brought to the table only minutes later. THIS attention to ensuring their guests are well cared for in every aspect of their visit is exactly why I have no reservations in recommending them to others.
Yes, the food is also spectacular, but the best food ever with horrible service would never be spoken of well by me.
8/8/23... just, wow... Thankfully, we know the restaurant is amazing, because the valet was worthless, absolutely pointless, and if it had been used as a measure of what to expect inside, we would have been driving away. He walked away as we drove up, so I thought maybe he went to get a car... nope. Then, he wandered back over as I was letting the gals out of the and just watched.
Don't worry, though, valet service on Friday and Saturday matches the attention to detail and top notch experience of the restaurant itself.
Consistently a fan favorite for atmosphere, food, and service. Tequila Lime Chicken and El Jefe Fajitas are both amazing, although we've never had anything we didn't like here. (Unlike the one over in Suwanee... sorry, it had to be said)
The elote, guacamole, etc. are always fresh, and the salsa goes well with them.
The beans and the rice have never been overcooked, over or under seasoned, and make me want to put them together for a Mex flair...
