Worst experience in a retail store in a while! Kid to Kid Buford location use to be an amazing experience all around. Tonight was a MUCH different story. Mandatory mask. I get it... even though I have health issues that my doctor recommends I don't wear a mask, I was approached by staff and asked to wear a mask. After she over explained herself and was very rude... I had ALREADY asked for a mask and didn't have an issue. My issue was the over explanation in a manner that was extremely rude... and continued to argue even after I agreed to wear it because I needed to shop. Had to ask her to go away! Watched by staff entire time. I guess they thought my mother and I were thieves. NEVER ASKED IF WE NEEDED ASSISTANCE... just stalked us. We spend thousands per year in that store, and being stalked the entire time was unnecessary and completely uncalled for. Staff walked up to my twins who are not even 2 yet to give them a balloon which is a CHOKING HAZARD (not to mention she wasn't even going to ask me if it was okay). It was a nice gesture, but when I asked her to please not give them that because it is a choking hazard... she proceeded to get an attitude, roll her eyes, and say okay... and then walked off. I was never rude when I asked her to please not give the balloons to them. Went to register with A LOT of stuff for my twins. The cashier asked if I needed a bag. I understand that some people have their own bags or they just don't use bags, but it was quite apparent I needed multiple bags for all that we were buying. I feel like this was a common sense issue... and again, girl was not friendly. The quality of clothing that they take in has went downhill real bad. The have also marked up their prices a bit. Well, there were a pair of boots I wanted to get, but a few of the sequins were missing. I asked the cashier if she would take off some more for the damages on the shoes. She replied NO... period no asking her manager. So, I said okay I do not want them then. Another staff member came up and said... Oh we can take 10% off. I still refused to buy them because of the rude NO I got from the cashier. That staff member proceeded to get an attitude and said it's not her fault she didn't know... talking about the cashier (keep in mind never said anything to cashier, just said I didn't want them). I replied to the staff member that she should have asked her manager instead of rudely saying no. Staff member proceeds to throw boots on other table behind register, stomp off, and muttering under her breath.
NEEDLESS TO SAY... I WILL NEVER STEP FOOT IN THAT KID TO KID EVER AGAIN! Not sure I will even give another location my business. I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND not shopping at this location. Also, got a response from the owner when I filled out the survey... and they also said to take my business elsewhere if I can't abide by their mandatory mask rule... WHICH WAS NEVER THE ISSUE TO BEGIN WITH!!! I said I would wear the mask! Still I get flack for that. VERY...
Read moreGreat store... great prices and great clothes and shoes and kids stuff that you don't have to pay an arm and a leg for!! And one of the best things is you can resell your gently used items for cash or store credit to help with your child's next size up! Or in my case you can resell your very gently used items since I have reborn baby dolls when you get tired of their same wardrobe. It's a win win for parents or dolly Mamas!
I would also like to add, I am a reseller myself of just about everything... that's what my husband and I do buy, sell, and trade..We clean out estate sales, businesses that are going out of business, etc... As a reseller, I have gotten top dollar for quite a few things that I have taken extra initiative to clean, fix if needed and work an online marketplace.. That being said, if you are a reseller or just someone who wants to sell your gently used kids items you have to understand that kid to kid or any other children's resell store are resellers as well.... You are not going to get what you paid or top dollar for your items because the store has to make money too... They do offer a fair price and only accepts quality merchandise so they can pass good quality kids stuff at a better price than full retail of the big box store to their customers. So if you think you are not being treated fairly because you think they didn't offer you enough for your items then do the leg work yourself and sell on a marketplace but here's a secret, since Covid there are a whole lot of people that resell and your items may sit for quite a while or you might just end up accepting less than what you wanted in the beginning.. or take your items to a children's consignment sell but the secret with that is it's a lot of work and they only accept certain things and by the time you have done all the work and paid all the fees it just might not be worth what you make. I sell regularly to various kids resell stores and have been more than pleased with the amount I was offered. So I say kid to kid is awesome all the way around! And something else some people fail to realize kid to kid and stores like that take losses just as much... There hasn't been a time yet that I haven't seen items with the "K" stamp on them. They have to have sales and reduce prices frequently so they can make room to buy more quality merchandise. And that also is great for the consumer for instance, I got a pair of baby air Jordans the last time I was in that looked brand new...no worn soles, scuffs..near about perfect condition... They were reasonably priced at $18.99 which is fantastic compared to kids foot locker but this pair also had the 50%off "K" stamp! You do the math! Bottom line kid to kid is a wonderful place to...
Read moreI hope the owner of this store reads this review so he/she is aware of the poor management and negligent staff that works here. I have been a long time shopper and seller for this company and for this store in particular and as of today I will no longer support this business. I went yesterday to sell some items at around 4:20pm and returned to the store at 6:50pm to pick up the items not purchased. I placed the bin with still plenty of good condition items that COULD HAVE BEEN DONATED BUT INSTEAD GOT TRASHED BY THESE PEOPLE. I accidentally left the bin by the register as I was buying some stickers for my daughters and they were closing the store so I went back today (less than 24 hrs. later) to pick up my bin as they state in their policy that a customer has 24hrs to pick up any left items. However, my bin was no where to be found and one of the very unfriendly sales associate called the manager since I told her that I really needed and wanted my bin with the items in it and it has been less than 24hrs. The manager went to check in the disposal container and after taking a long time she called me to let me know that the bin could not be retrieved and Im obviously upset because they are throwing away good stuff in the garbage container where is just going to land fills to add more to the contamination of the environment and more instead of at least donating them. Thatâs my main reason for this complain, their practices are no eco friendly and very toxic. On top of the fact that they are not honoring their own policies and when I asked to at least being compensated for the cost of my bin which was fairly new and I reused the manager refused. Needless to say Iâm filing a complaint with the BBB and more. Any parents wanting to sell their items...
