Today was my lazy Sunday, so I used Uber Eats to deliver. No complaints with the delivery time...everything went just fine, the order came earlier than expected actually. It was packaged neatly, came with chopsticks, extra wasabi like I requested, and all the boxes were labeled. But unfortunately the food just wasn't on par. Here's what I got:
Jalapeño bomb: Spicy tuna and cream cheese inside a deep friend jalapeño. It was tasteless, I had to dip it in soy sauce to get any flavor. I felt like it sat out for a while also. The drive is less than 20 min, but the quality of the deep fry should not decline that fast. It just tasted old and soggy. I even reheated it in the air fryer and it still didn't taste any better.
Viking roll: Inside contains spicy salmon and cream cheese. On top is baked salmon, scallop, and lemon w/eel sauce. Everyone raved about this roll in their reviews, but it was just "meh" to me. Dining in, it comes on fire and people claim they can taste the char, so I bet it tastes good at the restaurant...but at home it was very mediocre. Also the lemon did not do it for me. I feel lemons would go better with the fresh rolls vs. the baked ones.
Kiss of Fire: Inside consists of spicy tuna and cucumber. On top is spicy crab stick, jalapeño, eel sauce, spicy mayo, and hot sauce. This roll was the better of the 2, but the sweetness from wherever it was coming was just too overpowering. That was the only flavor I could taste and it wasn't even hot.
It was a disappointing dinner...maybe I just chose the wrong items and I hate to say that because when I dined in a year ago, everything was delicious. We got takoyaki and 3 different rolls. I can't remember the names though. So I do not recommend takeout from here, but I'll give this place another chance if I were to dine in again. I'm only giving 2 stars solely based on my delivery...
Read more"An Exceptional Dining Experience!" I had the pleasure of dining at Wicked Sushi & Grill, and I can confidently say it exceeded all of my expectations. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted warmly by the staff, setting the tone for what turned out to be a wonderful evening. The ambiance of the restaurant was inviting and comfortable, The lighting was just right, creating a relaxed atmosphere without feeling too dim or too bright. It’s the kind of place where you immediately feel at ease. Now, let's talk about the food—absolutely outstanding. The dish I tried which was chicken fried rice was a testament to the chef's skill and dedication to quality ingredients which was bursting with fresh flavors. The balance of textures and seasonings was spot on, it was delightful My dining companion also raved about their meal, particularly the crazy lobster, which had a unique twist that made it stand out from the usual offerings at other restaurants. What I really appreciated was the attention to detail in the presentation. Each plate was beautifully arranged, showcasing not just the skill of the kitchen but also a clear passion for the art of food. The service throughout the evening was impeccable. Our server was attentive and knowledgeable, offering helpful recommendations without being intrusive. The timing between courses was also ideal, allowing us to enjoy each dish without feeling rushed. Overall, Wicked Sushi & Grill provided an exceptional dining experience, and I can’t recommend it enough. Whether you’re looking for a casual meal with friends or a special night out, this place delivers on all fronts—excellent food, great service, and a welcoming atmosphere. I will definitely be...
Read moreI really don't understand how this place has good reviews. We came on Saturday to say goodbye to my mom who was visiting us. The service is quite lacking, we asked for extra plates to share Teriyaki and fried rice, and they brought 4 inch plates, for a dinner entree its quite annoying to have to have your food on an extra small plate. Then we order saporo beer, asked for glasses, and they brought 4 ounce glasses, at thi point we were annoyed... We had ordered a seaweed salad, we never got it, by the time they brought the teriyaki and friend rice, I asked them to cancel it. About food quality, the Teriyaki had really poor quality beef, like meat for stew, very finely cut for a price of $20 for a chicken and beef teriyaki, I would expect better quality food. Sushi, we orddred a Mall of Georgia and a lobster popcorn rolls, asked to leave all spice out of the lobster one (which by the way, doesn't taste like lobster but like crabsticks) and the left the chilli sauce on, we wanted to share with our daughters and we couldn't due to the chilli sauce... Overall this place offers below quality of food and poor service, especially during weekends (which is the time when you expect the best food and service, when you are out with the family). We ordered a house fried rice, a combo beef and chicken teriyaki, a Mall of Georgia roll, a lobster popcorn roll, two saporo beers, an iced tea and a soda and the check was $84. That is pricey in my book, especially for the quality and service we got. I would more than gladly spent $100 or more for the same if I get better taste and treat. I just would stay clear...
