I visit local coffee shops around the world several times a week. I have frequented this place on several occassions, because I visit Jamaica regularly and love Blue Mountain roasts and I love to support small business. However, today will be my last visit because the prices are getting so outrageous that I'm unable to support them any longer. Today I went in for a drip black coffee. They no longer have regular drip but offered hand drip or French pressed. I went with the French without asking the price....since I drink French press on the regular, literally all over the world and whoa was that my mistake. I received less than a 7 Oz pour of mid-grade coffee for $11.00!!! Times are tough for a lot of people right now and this felt like robbery. I'll be french pressing my Jamaican Blue at home from now on. Sincerely disappointed,
I was unable to respond to your reply. I MEASURED the cup I received which is how I know the size of my pour and the cup size. 3 weeks ago I ordered 2 drip coffees and a cheese Danish from this location. My bill was a little over 14.00, possibly it was the Signature Blue. I was not offered that today when requesting a drip alternative. Today I had a mini cup of the FP and an almond Danish and it was over $15.00. The average flight from Atl to Jamaica is less than $250.00...I recommend everyone just save their money and go there for a cup of Joe.... Good luck and thanks for the...
Read moreCute and nice to work remotely for a bit, but very overrated. It's never a good feeling when you get the impression you are somehow inconveniencing the staff by ordering. Also not a good sign, is a staff member counting back your change in confusion, then asking "do you want your 17 cents back?". Um... yes. (I ended up just telling her to keep it and put it in the tip jar). I planned on tipping more, but quite frankly it wouldn't have been warranted because as we finished I said "thank you" and didn't get a reciprocating "you're welcome!" or even a smile - I got a walk away. Then she proceeded to forget the food part of my order and the other young lady says "haha yeah do your job". They were all in all polite, but rather lackadaisical and lacking professionalism. My order came to almost $16 for a medium coffee (cold brew ice cube in the middle and condensed milk - the student drink) and two macarons. I don't mind paying a bit more for quality and a great customer experience, but my macarons and coffee were quite subpar (coffee was borderline chemical tasting and the macarons were $4 each and NOT baker's quality) - I used to make gourmet macarons for a living.
I appreciated the courtesy they did show, and do not wish to get anyone in trouble.
Simply want to be very frank and honest that this visit was not worth it and I wasted $16.
(Especially with the face scanning COVID-19 machine at the...
Read moreOMG… this is truly a hidden gem right smack in the Mall of Ga area!! It’s right next to a good sushi place my wife and I go to called Wicked Sushi so I decided to stop next door and try an iced coffee. I typically ask if a place has any sugar free flavor options and almost everywhere (including the big chains) just have Sugar Free Vanilla. These guys must have had 4-6 options and recommended the Sugar Free Salted Caramel. I went ahead and got both SF Vanilla and SF Salted Caramel. I agreed it was awesome, but they both were really good. Then my eyes happened to look down at their refrigerated glass counter and there it was…. A whole selection of handmade Macaroons!! Check out the pics I put on here but trust me they look and taste even better in person!! I told them to give me one of every flavor they had and my family had them eaten by the first night! The next time you want to try a cool little local coffee shop or get a little dessert, you gotta try...
