Some of the best furniture design companies do not get enough recognition...and the BEST of the best in Idaho is Furniture Design, owner and MASTER CRAFTSMAN, Rick Parrott!! For the last several years 1 have been remodeling every room of my home and I prefer custom work, especially when it comes to wood work. I was blessed to find Rick when I began the remodels. He has designed several beautiful, one-of-a-kind items for me: A whole wall with a Murphy bed, an armoire, a love seat, a side headboard, and 4 storage cabinets An entertainment center for a large screen tv with hidden doors (I like to close it off when I am not using it) and 4 equally high bookcases on each side which I also requested doors on. Storage beneath the tv for media equipment. A floor to ceiling storage unit on one of the walls in my mud room with multi-size cabinets (so versatile that it makes me happy because I am an organizer.) A mantel and side posts around my fireplace. This was tricky because stone masons covered the wall around the original mantel and posts, but when it was done I disliked the original so Rick designed a simple (my style) but elegant mantel and posts that complimented my Murphy bed wall and the entertainment center wall. It had to fit the openings PERFECTLY, like a puzzle piece, and it did! Because of all the BEAUTIFUL woodwork this is my favorite room in my hone. I also wanted a large but graceful wall coat hanger. The back is 2+ feet wide by 3+ feet long. With lovely brass hooks, that Rick spaced just right, I was thrilled. And last but not least, even my wall-mounted key holder is exceptionally attractive!!

Rick has designed and installed a custom piece that stores and displays our wine and is a beautiful file and storage piece that exactly matches our home design and wood through out the house. He created an office suite and Murphy bed for a small room that is gorgeous and functional. He also built two units for storage and one set up for a sewing center with hide away doors. Rick and his son created and made 3 items for my new home. I wanted not only a wall bed but I also wanted a sewing desk attached to it so I could have a place to sew yet still have a room for guests. Rick made suggestions and designed a unit that has been perfect. He also designed a desk unit for my bonus room to fit in a difficult place to put an ordinary spot. everyone who has seen it are soooo impressed. Rick and his sons also helped me update my kitchen cabinets and added some drawers and a wine rack to an empty space and NO ONE can tell they were added after the original cabinets were installed.
