Washington Street Mall in Cape May is fantastic yet we did run into an issue. We visited the outdoor mall on May 31st and it was somewhat busy on Friday afternoon and early evening. We enjoyed all the unique shops, some of which were better than others like Winterwood Gifts and Chatmans Shoppe and Import Bazaar and, of course Uncle Charlie’s Ice Cream. There are many eateries on the mall, but we decided to try a different place that evening since it was our first time ever in Cape May. After dinner we returned to the mall for some ice cream at Uncle Charlie’s and decided to walk a block and sit on one of the planters near one of the jewelry stores. This was about 7pmish and this was when we had an issue. As we were sitting and eating our delicious ice cream, we started getting bit up by what we thought we sand fleas. They were everywhere and it really started to become an issue. We noticed a gentleman sitting near us at the same planter hitting his legs and arms just like what we were doing to rid ourselves of these pests. We really didn’t want to bring any of these fleas back to our room, so we had to be very diligent in killing them all which we did when we decided to move and walk while we were eating our ice cream. It just seemed odd for that to happen but I guess it is a possibility as the temperature outside was dropping and we are close to the shore. Maybe somebody needs to treat the areas outside to rid the mall of these pests. Next time we are in Cape May, we’ll remember to put on Skin-so-soft to protect ourselves as I’ve read that Deet doesn’t do much good. All-in-all, the mall was a great place to shop and people watch. Maybe the next time we’re in Cape May we’ll try one of...

As you waking around is like your taken to another era with the beautiful buildings and stores and shops that occupy them. I see why this is so popular. I loved i truly did not want to leave this town and this...

The decor around town is very nice and is well kept. You can enjoy a nice walk around the town and the park near by is a must go to if your looking to relax and enjoy some downtime. Parking is the only hassle if you are looking to go in peak season, but the wait is more than worth it. Definitely can’t wait to come back soon. Come visit! You won’t be...
