Aranelle — Local services in Carlsbad

I really LOVE Aranelle in Carlsbad. Each time I need a special gift for my mom or a good friend I go to Aranelle. So many times I have been able to find a unique, stand out gift. Plus, I really love the artisan jewelry- for me (lol). Their customer service has been fantastic. Once, I walked in 2 friends of mine to show them my favorite jewelry line. Two of the sales gals were so patient while my girl friends and I tried on and thoroughly went through each piece. Another time, I dashed in for a gift while walking my dogs. 1 dog was being noisy while tied up outside which made me flustered. The sales gal noticed my frustration with my dog and completely took charge. She handed me a bag of dog treats to go sit outside with my trouble maker. She then asked me about my friend that the gift was for, price range, then set about showing me a couple items while I sat on the bench with my dogs. She nailed it!! I gave her my credit card, stayed with my dogs while she did a gift box, rang me up, then walked out the shopping bag with my credit card and slip to...

It was Christmas shopping and while I am close to finishing, I felt a little stuck on a final gift for someone I care for deeply so when I walked in to Aranelle's, I was greeted warmly and professionally and it took about 5-10 minutes to find a blazer and scarf. That's not all, I left without receiving my change and never realized the error. People make mistakes but not all make good on them. Last week I received a message through my website email and it was Aranelle asking me if I had shopped there before Christmas and could I be missing some change? I was surprised and felt a sense of respect when I heard this news. I spoke to Liz and she explained what happened and told me how terrible the staff felt so they hunted me down and sent me a check immediately.

Thanks for your response Michelle. Forgive me for just seeing this. I appreciate the kindness and I'm certain you all are great people; it's a beautiful boutique. I've never been one to talk about race but in light of the fact that this situation still occurred, I won't be returning but I will bump my review to 3-stars for ratings-sake. Best of luck!

Brown people not welcome. Horrible experience. The shop workers shamelessly scoured my girlfriend and I the entire time we were in the store. Look I'm not upset about the skepticism of shoppers, but we were clearly there to spend money as evident by spending a fair amount of money on antiques next door.
