I recently purchased two full-size stand up paddle boards on 4/16/2016. The person helping me was very kind and accommodating, his name is Derek. But the manager stopped him from helping me strap the boards on top of my car while it was running at the curb with the boards on top. He stated that the store would be liable if the paddle boards came off during my 15 minute trip home . After a brief conversation he walked away, he added nothing in terms of suggestions, ideas, or other ways to take these boards home. This was incredibly frustrating as I had just spent $1000 in the store, then moved two paddle boards from the second floor down to my car outside- this was not a subtle endeavor. He then chose to inform me after all this " life isn't fair". I am 5'3" and I had my two very young sons with me. You can imagine how hard it was for me to strap two full-size paddleboards on top of my suburban SUV without any help. Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe walked in looking for a specific pair of shoes, it took a while for someone to help us. Then a nice young gentleman came by and asked us what we were looking for. We told him and he brought out a pair that were not quite the right size. The size we were looking for was not in stock. Honestly, stores like this will not survive if they cannot make the sale. People are just going to go home and order online because that's the only way they can get what they want. I understand that you don't want to sit on a bunch of inventory that may not sell, put some risk is involved if you want the store to survive. Service was okay, but the gentleman disappeared behind closed doors for so long that we almost set down the wrong size shoes and walked out... Where did he go? There certainly weren't that many...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIāve been getting my shoes from Dickās Sporting Goods for a while, but my recent experiences have been really disappointing. When I visited the store, many of the shoes I had tried to buy were dirty and looked worn. I decided to order online instead, hoping for a better result. Unfortunately, the shoes I received were missing the insole and were also dirty. It was clear theyād been used and then returned without any proper inspection before being sent to me.
I returned them, but this experience has made me question the quality control at Dickās. I expect new, clean, and fully intact products when Iām paying full price. This isnāt the level of quality or service Iām used to from them. I hope they take better care of their inventory and online orders...
