I took my rarely driven 2008 Bullitt Mustang to Miller's auto to have the original(!) tires replaced and to have the factory springs re-installed (the original owner had had lowering springs put on the car when new). Miller Auto got the job done quickly and properly. Unfortunately, during the tire swap, one of my wheels somehow got a minor scuff on the polished lip. Keith Stockberger, the owner of Miller's Auto, offered to address the issue at his expense, which really would require stripping and re-finishing the entire wheel. Although I ultimately decided not to go that route at this time, Keith left the offer on the table should I ever change my mind. I may eventually have Miller's refinish the wheel, but it's a minor scuff and accidents sometimes happen.
Throughout the back and forth on this matter, Keith has been professional, understanding, and helpful. He never denied that the scuff could have happened at his facility, although he (and I) remain unsure how it occurred. Things happen. I know he's unhappy that the wheel got scuffed, and I know that he will do what he can to make the matter right. That, to me, indicates the sort of character he has and speaks well for both him and his business.
I will definitely use Miller's in the future, and I recommend them for specialty work. It's hard to find a shop that knows classic cars, that understands the relationship that owners have with those cars, and that also goes the extra mile to ensure that customers are satisfied, even and especially when things don't go according to plan. And on top of all that, everyone at the shop with whom I've spoken or interacted has been friendly, professional, and...
Read moreI have used Miller Auto Care many times throughout the years I've lived in the Carmel area. Not once have they ever not been extremely nice and very good at what they do. It is very true they are honest with what you need. I went in today fully expecting a $1,500 bill for my Audi, because that's very normal for these cars even for a battery. They even knew I had $1,500 ready. Now I am a car guy, and have always done most of my own repairs since i was in high school. So i know my way around cars. However more advanced and over engineered German cars are becoming, the less I'm able. Not once have i felt that they were trying to sneak in other repairs like sooo many other shops do. You know the ones, you go in for an oil change and then tell you that you need $2,000 worth of random stuff fixed? Not these guys. They concentrate on only fixing or doing why you are there. Mike called with the pleasant news it was only a vacuum leak that was causing all my issues. They re ran the hose and we were back in business. Less than $200, my cheapest repair on this car to date, in which I've taken it to other shops in the area, who also have great reviews, most have completely over charged. I will never make that mistake again. Miller has 100% of my business now. It is very hard to find a shop that is both honest and knowledgeble about all makes and models. Miller is one of them! Only place I'll allow my girlfriend to take her car without her calling me first before having work done. She has no clue about cars, but i know they will take...
Read moreThe shop is literally right next to my office which makes it really convenient to go there for basic maintenance. Extra points for offering us a first-time discount. To be honest, the oil change, even with the discount, was more than your Tires Plus or Midas but I like supporting local businesses. However, I can say with a good deal of surety that I will NOT be returning. The people I spoke to were very nice and knowledgeable and it certainly put me at ease. I got a call regarding my tires which I knew were on their last leg. The gentlemen said that he'd recommend at minimum a rotation but would suggest at least 2 new tires. I decided I'd go ahead and get the 4 because I've always been told to do them all at once. It was wonderful not being pressured into the most expensive solution. HOWEVER, the tires they sold me were priced a whopping 35% MORE than at other retailers (including good ol' Walmart). Again I can understand a local small business and the need to make a profit. But a 35% price gouge ) is absolutely outrageous. If you''re wondering that is $31 extra PER TIRE which means I could've purchased 5 tires for the price I paid at Miller. Is it my fault for not shopping around? Sure. Luckily I have a benefit on my credit card to reimburse the difference. Lesson learned. Miller Auto Care totes their "Christian" principles on their website and in their...
