TLDR, Horrible customer service and cannot get the most simple order right on a slow afternoon
Came to this location this afternoon to get two kids Sundays for my children and a parfait for my wife. Asked the employee through the drive-thru if they had kids sizes and they told me they only had small, which is not a problem. After ordering the total was much more than I expected so I went to the window and I got my ice cream then receipt and when I looked at the receipt it had two large Sundays which was incorrect. I started to ask the person working the window if that was correct, but the window closed before I had a chance to even ask any questions or receive any "thanks" or "Have a great day" type response. I sat there for a minute waiting to see if they noticed I was still there waiting (cannot see through the window to actually tell), which they did not. I've been honked waited another 30 seconds before having to knock on the window to get somebody's attention. Someone new came to the window presumably the owner/manager and I held up my Sunday and asked what size it was and he said medium, which was extra mind boggling. I told him that I wanted two small Sundays. He asked if I wanted to be refunded for one large and order a small and pay for the other large, or what I had in mind. I gave him one back and asked if the second large that my toddler was eating in the backseat could get refunded the difference as well. He ignored my question and asked again for the second large, which I obliged (thankfully no tears from my son). He took my receipt, open the register and handed me a couple dollars and some change and the original receipt. With a puzzled look, he explained that was the difference between the two sizes which I have no way of knowing if that's accurate, due to no new receipt being generated. Read moreZERO STARS: June 4th - pull up and try to enter building at 8:52 pm, a DQ worker near the drive thru next to the building says we're closed inside you must go through the drive thru. A lady with 2 kids is getting back in her car to do the same, she's in front of me. He said "WE CLOSE IN 8 MINUTES". So I get in line with 2 cars in front of me. In the mean time 3 cars pull in back of me in line. All I want is box of Buster bars from the freezer for my family. I get to the speaker to order at 8:56 pm (it's dusk, not even dark out) & the girls says "I'm sorry my manager says we have enough orders in the drive thru and we're closed'. I tell her I was in the drive thru at 8:52 pm and it's not 9pm yet, but it doesn't matter, no $12 box of Buster bars for me. I start to pull away & see the DQ worker entering the back door, he was monitoring the drive thru line I now understand. I say "HEY, ARE YOU THE MANAGER". He says 'yes' & I say you saw in try to get inside and told me to get in the drive thru you close in 8 minutes YET YOU DON'T LET ME ORDER after waiting. He continues in the back door. I will NEVER go back to this DQ EVER. I headed north & went to the Westfield DQ with no problems. What kind of training & customer service do you even offer? And summer hours, you close at 9pm when it's still light outside and families have been to sporting events and at the pool? Everyone said you were hit bad by the road construction however the poor reviews I saw on social media of bad service during this time I totally believe. Totally flabbergasted! Really CARMEL DQ? Read moreObtained a blizzard from here just today and asked for the receipt to grab a free dillybar. Pulled over to the side and finished it up. When attempting to get the free dillybar was faced by the manager who looked confused by the receipt as if a free dillybar shouldn’t be expected. Turned to me and said “ you can pick it up in 1-2 days”. Kindly said the receipt said something different. The manager turned away as if to shoo me away and I left. Called corporate to ask if that was policy as is annoying that they didn’t tell me that when I asked for the receipt. I was told by corporate you are able to get the same day. Five minutes after the corporate call, the manager from the location called upset that I would dare complain about it. At one point stated, “we can’t be giving free dillybars everyday”. I rarely buy fast food . The manager was very upset the whole conversation and interrupting me while I explained. Very disrespectful and very dissatisfied with the service. Been living in Carmel for a couple of years now and did not expect a simple order to ruin my day. Let alone a manager to tell me off over the phone..over a dillybar. Stay away from this location. If the people working there are this hostile over a dillybar, then maybe is better to not go...
