I'd been (keyword "been") using this location, now a CVS, for almost a decade because of the convenience of having it within Target. After the past two weeks, my exprience there has caused me to switch to the far superior Rite-Aid in Branmar.
Last week our pediatrician phoned in a prescription for my youngest daughter. I swung by CVS about an hour and a half later. There was no one in line and two pharmacists working, but I stood there for 10 minutes waiting for one of them to notice me. Eventually I stepped closer up to the counter to ask if someone could help me, and was answered by the pharmacist just holding up their finger at me, not looking up, and muttering "Hang on."
Unprofessionalism aside, when he finally looked up and muttered if I needed something (well, yeah...), he said the prescription wasn't listed in their system--keep in mind this is now almost two hours after the doctor called it in. I called the doctor back, verified they sent it, told the pharmacist as much, he re-checked the system, and was able to miraculously find it. He apologized and said he's expedite it.
I never received the usual text about it being ready, so checked in an hour later. He saw me, stopped what we was doing, and went to go fill it, which took another 30 minutes. So apparently "expediting" means the customer has to hound the pharmacist to do their job within a reasonable amount of time.
That was the first instance. Later in the week I had to go back for another prescription, again about an hour and a half after the doctor called it in. I stopped by, waiting in line with the ten other people waiting, was told it wasn't ready, checked back an hour later after waiting in line with ten more people, was told it was almost ready, checked back ANOTHER hour later after waiting in line (still no text), and they finally filled it on the spot. So that was almost three hours of waiting. Absolutely insane. (I was later told that the multi-hour delay was because two--TWO!--people were getting covid shots. I find it hard to believe that two people can back things up so horribly, but if that's the case, maybe have one dedicated pharmacist doing that instead of screwing up the rest of the pharmacy's functionality.)
The only upside to this location now is that it's in Target so at least you can keep yourself busy wandering the store. But honestly? Unless they get their act together, do yourself a favor and find another...
Read moreGone to this pharmacy for at least 5 years and always dealt with this one awesome pharmacist. I dont know where he's gone, but he needs to come back! The new pharmacist claimed that it wasnt the pharmacy job to send pre-authorizations for medications to doctors, and that there are strict rules that stop them from alerting patients that the 7 day prescription is near expiration. I had to call CVS caremark to question why my daughter's new medication was denied coverage, and it was essentially because the pharmacist did not request pre-authorization from the doctor. The Caremark assistant had to do it for me right then on the phone, 4 DAYS after the original prescription was written. This CVS alerted me the prescription was ready for pick up, the same day it expired. And then the pharmacist is claiming she had no culpability in this while I now need to scramble to have a new prescription written. Yes, this is her "job" and no one wants to HAVE to work, but her doing her job so poorly is messing with my kid's quality of life. Absolutely unbelievable, zero accountability. I already called the primary care to switch all our medications to a...
Read moreThis place is the absolute worst. At risk of being a Karen, the incompetence here is actually frightening. I called about a prescription Tuesday and was told it would be ready end of day. Come by and it’s not available (out of stock). Come to pick up the next day and husband is told it’s expired and can’t be filled. I call back and was told whoops nevermind it’s not expired. At this point it’s been 2 visits in 48 hours and I refuse to return again. They won’t override 5.99 delivery fee. I call back three days later and apparently I only had one day to pick it up before it was expired and tossed Thursday which no one told me. Tried to explain this to Telvin and he takes absolutely no accountability for the poor employee training and doesn’t listen or care. Unfortunately having people like Telvin who have no people / customer service skills run a location like this causes things to end up going this way. Super...
