Great selection, rude (singular) staff member. I just got a new job so I decided to go get some new clothes to go with it. I'll admit, I was kind of dreading it because I've been trying to lose weight and have had a difficult time finding things that look right in the last few months. I was surprised and elated when I found many fashionable options in good shape that fit and looked good on me. I got 8 shirts, 3 skirts, and 2 pairs of dress pants for $68. My fiance found 7 of the 8 Harry Potter movies (score!) and a brand new pair of carhart pants. When we went to check out however, our cashier ended up being extremely rude. After I bought my clothes, he placed the movies on the counter. I'd already checked the discs and they looked like they were in good shape, but you can never be sure until you try to watch/use a disc that it is going to work perfectly, so I asked if the 7 day return policy is valid on DVDs. Her immediate reply was "Well I hope you're not getting them just so you can watch and return them for free!" I can't believe she said something so accusatory! Insinuating that I'm trying to be cheap is so out of line, especially considering I had just purchased nearly $70 worth of clothes that are clearly meant for the workplace. There was absolutely no reason to assume that I was trying to "rent for free" especially considering I asked that if they didn't work could I get my money back. I really hope the store management will address this issue and ensure that their staff doesn't go around accusing customers in the future, because that was a rather sour ending to an otherwise pleasant...
Read moreOne star rating, simply because goodwill is nothing like it used to be. First off, anytime I come to browse around I’ve noticed that a majority of the employees seem to act as if their customers are a nuisance especially for a price check on an item. Second, Looking through racks and shelves I was seeing nothing but price gouging. Most items even being sold at or above retail price for used, broken, and donated goods that are given for free. Specifically a few items I had noticed this on I was seeing broken, bowed out and covered in dust ikea DIY shelves and TV stands. Missing proper hardware to assemble to even make these items safe to self stand, marked at over $20 looked to me like it was junk. A pair of knitting needles in the package from the dollar tree. ($1.25 retail) Marked at $3.99!! Old yarn that was evidently from the early 2,000’s at least if not older, marked at $9 for one skein!?! Craft stores are selling the same brand at retail price for $4. Whoever is in charge of marking items is getting a tad bit money hungry. Shameful to see this price gouging in effect when in the same town of chaska there’s a goodwill wholesale store. Doesn’t make any sense in shopping at the regular goodwill when they are completely ripping people off. I was very disappointed at my last trip. Probably won’t be coming back if the prices are going to continue to be over marked over retail. Watch your tags people. You’re...
Read moreThe store appears gigantic from the exterior but only takes up the center portion. Ample parking, shopping baskets and easy access. The store sells clothes by the pound and was full of flat beds with clothes strewn about in massive bins. It is disastrous and no rhyme or reason to unfolded mixed up pieces of clothing .
You can barely get to the bins because people all trying to see the same stuff. For a person to feel that kind of disrespect for items you are going to wear I could not imagine that no matter how poor a person may be.
It should be a give away store and not a sale store. U in They would sell more clothes just by hanging them up and my first reaction was the last of the clothes other Goodwills could not sell.. I would never take my child there because I would not want them to feel bad about what they got . Not sure anything was...
