I’ve always admired the beautiful jewelry in the window when I walked by Silverado. So when my partner and I were spending the day looking at engagement rings, we thought we would give Silverado a try! I’ve been looking for a unique ring that was meaningful, personal, and ethically sourced. I loved that Silverado included who made the jewelry. Plus I would much rather support a small business than a big corporation. It felt so personal—exactly what I wanted! I knew this wasn’t an engagement ring store, but I was excited to look at something a bit different!
However, once the sales associate came to “help” us, our experience quickly went downhill. I asked about a pair of earrings in the same case as the ring I liked. The sales associate scoffed and said that they were expensive, not even telling me how much they cost or offering to take them out of the case. We didn’t even mention what our budget was. I moved on since the earrings were not what I was there for anyway.
Then when I asked about another ring nearby, the same sales associate said that it was “sparkly but expensive,” put it on her own finger, and then set it aside. Don’t get me wrong, it was pricey. But still within budget for what we were looking for.
When I asked about how these rings stand up to daily wear, she chuckled and said “is this like for an engagement ring?” I felt like Julia Roberts in Pretty Woman! There are lots of wonderful jewelry stores nearby with friendly employees who want to help you, not embarrass or...
Read moreWalked in here with my husband and son for the first time on a Thursday late afternoon/evening and had a bad experience. My family and I were visiting the area for a relaxing birthday getaway from nyc. My hubby was planning to go all out and told me to pick anything I wanted so I browsed and browsed and browsed for a good 20 min. Unfortunately not one employee addressed my presence, including the owner. They had customers in there being helped and customers that came after me also being helped. When I would get near a piece that caught my eye that happened to be close to an employee and customer being helped, they would pause and glare at me as if someone was caught using the bathroom, not ok. Again not even a hello, nothing. I liked a few pieces but due to the lack of proper basic human interaction skills, I walked out. Pretty rude if you ask me. Providing service only to customers you know personally, is not the way to do business, sorry not sorry. In my experience, customer service is not top notch and they DO Not make you feel welcome from the moment you walk in the door. Coming from a fellow business...
Read moreWent in to browse and was looking at a pair of studs but said to my friend that they were too expensive for what I’m willing to pay for a pair of studs. The employees were extremely rude and not-so-quietly shit talking me after I said that to my friend. I debated returning the necklace after the interaction but decided not to since I love it but super disappointing experience. Not sure I’d go back after that tbh because it was pretty...
