Before I go into how great and amazing healer Rachael is I want to share a little of my back ground. In my teens into early 20's I was really active with wrestling, mountain biking, hiking, and a little bit of kick boxing. My life did a complete turn around when I was involved in a MVA. I was diagnosed with a ruptured L5, whiplash, and signs of spinal stenosis. As my Dr at the time put I had a old mans back at the age of 24. After over a year of physical therapy I was able to sleep again with out pain but lost all motivation for athletics. For fear of the pain coming back. So after years of a terrible diet and slim to no exercise I ballooned to 215 lbs. Fast forward to 2019 I realized I was out of control and had to do something. So I became more active, lost weight and got down to 140.
Now with my life back in control I wanted to keep growing and challenging myself with new adventures and pushing my limits. Basically wanting to keep motivated to live a better and healthier life. Unfortunately pushing the limits led to the pain coming back from the whiplash. I also noticed alignment problems from running long distances. Then the worst was the pain in the back when trying to sleep was coming back. I was beginning to lose some motivation and wondering if this was for me.
Then I found Rachael at TROM. I'm a skeptical person when it comes to just about everything but I do like to keep a open mind. The first time talking with Rachael you can tell she is knowledgeable about body mechanics and helping people to reach their fitness goals and just an overall authentic person. Thru muscle, nerve, and tendon stimulation along with movement exercises its like you rediscover your body. I find that her enthusiasm and positive attitude helps out mentally. After all your mental state is also a big part of your physical state. You also feel like an individual person and treated special and not just like another customer..... unlike that feeling you can get with some other therapy practices.
With her help I have now ran longer and faster on trails and streets because of the alignment improvements. My climbing grades have improved because of better body awareness my upper and lower body feel connected. Sleep after weight lifting has improved because of less pain in my neck. She has given me the confidence in my first of many Spartan OCR. So not to sound like one of those cheezy late night ads but I now feel like I am in the best condition of my life at 40 years of age with the help of TROM.

Read moreI started seeing Rachael a few months ago for some chronic shoulder pain and issues with the range of motion in my neck. I’m a massage therapist and the issues I was having were making me worried about my career longevity, and about how well I’d be able to keep doing the things I love, like rock climbing and yoga. I’d tried massage, stretching, corrective exercises and nothing was helping.
I felt a difference after just one session with Rachael. After a couple months I have no pain in my shoulder, and she’s worked on some other movement issues that I wasn’t even aware of yet. My body awareness has improved too, and I can feel a difference when I’m working, climbing, and even resting at home. I truly believe that MAT sessions with her are doing so much good for keeping me feeling good now and preventing injuries down the road. I’m enjoying the things I do more now because they feel good, and I feel more connection and engagement in my muscles when I’m working and climbing.
Rachael is incredibly knowledgeable and works from a place of compassion. I can’t say enough good about how she’s helped me, and I’d recommend her to anyone wanting to work through movement issues or just to connect with their body more. She’s...
Read moreRachel and I worked together while I was experiencing pain with IT Band syndrome and 6 weeks out from a full marathon. Meeting weekly with her care plan was fundamental to my success with this race and feeling confident in the healing process. I enjoyed our sessions and Rachel's ability to view me as an individual within her practice; I truly felt cared for and that my concerns were heard by her. It's amazing to have a resource and professional in the St. Louis area who has a passion for what she does and provides an alternative approach to...
