Absolutely horrible. They lied, they broke my device and still made me pay. And I left with less than what I came with. I brought my new 2DS XL with a cracked top screen I was quoted $130 for a one-week repair. After a month of having to call to ask about progress and being told they were still waiting for the part, I got fed up and retrieved the system. Thatâs when I discovered that they had broken it further. Pressing an unrelated button caused the system to power off. I believe they damaged it early on and stalled by giving me the runaround for a month trying to fix their it, though I have no proof. I returned with my father, I spoke to Estabon the manager and Misael the lead technician. They blamed a phantom technician whose name I never got, and allegedly no longer worked there, they say that heâs the one who broke it, and that he was trying five different screens, thatâs why it took so long, I donât believe any of this, but that is what they said. They promised to fix the screen and the power issue for free, offering to replace the system if they couldnât fix it. My father for some reason said they shouldnât pay for the entire console, which came back to haunt me. Two weeks later, Misael claimed small connectors were broken due to my âpoor careâ or the system being âtoo old.â Both excuses made no sense, as it worked fine before I brought it, and the 2DS XL isnât that old it launched in 2017. He refused to admit it was fault and said he couldnât repair it. His solution was to buy a used one on eBay, and I would pay half the cost. I asked how he thought it was fair for me to pay for his mistake, his response was, âThis is a business; we still need to make money.â I was unhappy with this answer, but he proceeded to quote my father to me, holding me to what he said. He and Estabon refused to budge or offer any reparations for breaking my device, they pressured me and left me no choice but to either accept, or be stuck with an unusable device. I said my device was modded, so leaving with a blank ds would be leaving with less than I came with. The device is now totally useless after the second visit. The device no longer stays powered on. Half the buttons donât work, the touch screen doesnât work at all so I canât even perform a system transfer with the new device because of how badly they damaged it. Either they werenât careful with it, or maybe they just broke it more to make me more desperate. It was the manager and the lead technician screwing me over, there was no one higher in the store I could turn to. I had to accept the terms begrudgingly, but still dissatisfied I asked Misael for a corporate number to complain. Misael gave me a wrong number. Thankfully the real one was on the wall. The person I spoke to was nice but was no help at all. When I said I shouldnât have to pay this much to walk away with a lesser product, her solution was leaving up to the store manager, the one I had been arguing with, if I should pay or not. Shockingly, the guy who screwed me over in the first place didnât side in my favor. I can only hope that call at least caught the attention of a higher up so this doesnât go unnoticed by corporate, but I doubt it. After a week of silence, I went back, Misael had the replacement, saying heâd had it for days, and that he tried to reach me, which was a lie. I finally just paid for the system and left. So almost two months after my first visit, I am left with a blank device that I canât even transfer my data to because of how bad a job the technicians did. Please do not come here. They donât care about you or your device. If and when something goes wrong, they will shift the blame to whoever and whatever else besides themselves. I work at a game store and when someone tells me they are having problems with their device, I am more than happy to tell them not to come here. They have screwed me over so badly and did next to nothing to try and make it right, I didnât get so much as an apology from these people. I already dissuaded multiple people and will continue to whenever I...
Read moreI've taken hundreds of photos and video under and just below the water with my Pixel 4 XL. Take a look at the photo I provided. This was nothing out of the ordinary with my Pixel 4 XL. However, when uBreakiFix Clermont replaced my screen they didn't weather seal it to OEM specs, and they refused to do anything after it was water damaged. BTW - It was water damaged by sprinklers, not going under water in the pool - LIKE I HAVE DOZENS OF TIMES. Rain and sprinklers should NEVER be an issue for an IP68 device. However, since they did such a poor replacement the phone is now ruined - with zero recourse. Their techs are hacks and need to be replaced with actual technicians that know and understand what they are doing. The crew at this store has no concept for time, no concept for customer service and clearly no concept for how to PROPERLY repair a phone.
DO NOT GO TO THIS LOCATION DO NOT EVEN THINK ABOUT THE CELLHELMET SCAM THEY DON'T VALUE YOUR TIME THEY DON'T ACCURATELY ESTIMATE TIME OF REPAIR THEY CONSISTANTLY OVER PROMISE AND UNDER DELIVER
My wife had a horrible experience with her screen replacement, as well. They told her it would take 2 hours. She spent two hours shopping nearby, came back and they said another 30 minutes. She waited in her car 30 minutes, went back inside and they said another 30 to 45 minutes. They did this two more times for a total additional time of 2 hours and 15 minutes. Had she known it would be a 4 to 5 hour repair she would have dropped it off and went back later. Instead, she wasted the better part of her day waiting on their bad information.
You have choices - you can go to other locations to avoid the poor service choices here. If I have to use this joke of a company, I'll use a different location. I will avoid the Clermont store completely. I have three secondary devices that need out of warranty screen replacements and I'll find another tech that actually cares about the quality of what they do.
Back to the point - the tech was adamant that the screen was replaced properly, but I can tell you with certainty that my phone had been submerged time and time again without issue - until they did a horrible, shoddy, haphazard screen replacement. As a result they ruined a nearly $1K device. They should be ashamed of the poor quality that they are perpetrating on...
Read moreMy daughter and I used this location for the 1st time a few weeks ago. The back of her iphone was shattered and we were upgrading our phones the very next day with AT&T as she would be out of the country for the rest of the summer. We explained the situation and they assured us they could fix it same day. We arrived as soon as they opened. We didn't recieve a call that her phone was fixed so I called 30 min before closing. The young man who answered said the tech just started working on it but would have it done by the time we go there. We picked up the phone and everything seemed fine. My daughter put her phone on the kitchen counter that night and the next morning we headed to AT&T. When our sales person took her phone and removed the case - there was a straight line crack from bottom to top. We explained that the phone had just been fixed the night before and it was not dropped or even handled during that time. He said it didn't look like a "drop crack" but something faulty with either installation or the part. We went back to ubreak and spoke with the young man again who basically told us there was nothing he could do but offer a small discount for a new repair. At this point - not worth the money and no way we are paying for something that appears faulty. I believe the installation was rushed and 2 other sales people at AT&T agreed that this did not look like a drop crack. The tech at ubreak said he would talk to the manager and call me. Never heard a word. Very disappointed in this situation and lack of follow up. Will never use or recommend this store and AT&T (who sends customers there regularly) is well aware of how this played out. I realize that people may try to get something for nothing when they are at fault but I can fully vouch for my daugher and how her phone was cared for in that 16 hour window of being fixed to being cracked again. What a waste of time and money. Extrememly diappointed in the lack of...
