Don't let the management talk you out of returning merchandise that is faulty. I bought a Samsung tablet and the extended warranty. Within a couple days I took it back to the store because it would not fully charge no matter how long I would leave it plugged into an outlet. The manager, Jay, gave excuses on why and would not exchange it. He told me to use another outlet and try draining the battery a few times. We'll none of that worked and the store will not exchange it and the extended warranty can not be used because it's too soon. Now I have to go through the trouble of sending it to Samsung and waiting so much longer to maybe get it fixed by Samsung. I bought this to use at my business with my square credit card reader which has now become a big inconvenience. None of the managers can do anything to help, as they say, so they are useless. Staples shame on you. Word to the wise, don't buy any devices and extended warranties from Staples. And do not let them weasel out of taking back something that does not work when it is still within the return time frame and you have everything that came with it and your receipt. Read moreThis store is horrible. I called to speak to someone before I placed my online print order just to make sure that the order was submitted properly. The print dept person who answered the call was INTENTIONALLY unhelpful. It was a complete waste of time, I received ZERO help. I needed to have the documents I printed delivered by courier with a proof of delivery copy returned to me. This is a standard courier practice. These Staples employees came up with all kinds of ridiculous excuses about why they could not allow me to put in a ticket to have my documents scanned back to me. They offer a courier service but don't offer proof that the service was provided- its absurd. Now I have no proof that the documents were ever delivered by their courier even though I paid for the courier service. I offered many rational solutions for every excuse they provided for why they could not send me the proof of delivery documents I needed, but they rejected them all. These people must get paid bonuses every time they refuse to help customers. DO NOT USE the courier service offered by STAPLES- its a SCAM. This Staples handles the iPostal account of my new business, and since I started going there in January, I have not had a single experience that could be considered negative. It doesn’t matter the shift, the day, what I’m there for - every single one of the current team at the west 117th location goes above and beyond. They are helpful, personable, and genuine. My faith in humans is perhaps somewhat restored after seeing how hard these folks work daily. It is unfortunate that most people are biased to leave a review only after having a bad experience or feel they have been slighted or whatever - people everywhere need to remember to report the countless amazing experiences too.
