Beware the default tipping and the person who is overly entitled. I took my kids here and bought quite a bit of candy. The total came to $160, which seemed rather high for what we bought. We were on vacation, and my wallet is a bit more lubricated than usual, given the circumstances. One of the candies we were purchasing didn’t have a tag, and the cashier said “oh, this one’s not tagged. I’ll just scan this bar code for an item that is a dollar cheaper”. I said thank you, and she continued ringing things up. When it was time to pay, I flashed my debit card to the machine, and the total was now $188. I said “woah, what happened?” She said, oh, you must not have opted out of the tip. She then backed it up and let me opt out of the tip, and then complained and said “darn, and I even saved you money. Oh well, I’m not going to re-ring all this up, so just go ahead”. 1- no way should there be tilling on a job that simply runs a cash register- that’s a ding against the company. 2- an employee who thinks this way is not employable or needs to be introduced to...
Read moreMy husband and I went to the store and saw a display of LABUBUS—something our daughter has been begging for. We were skeptical because we know a ton of resellers are pushing fake ones. We even asked the young man working there if they were real, and he assured us they were totally legit and even told us to scan the QR code to prove it.
We bought two boxes, one from each edition. We were excited to finally find them, so we opened one before gifting it to our daughter—and surprise, it was obviously fake. We're not idiots, and neither is our kid. She’s a fan and would’ve known right away.
We went straight back to the store (thankfully still nearby) and asked for a refund on the unopened box. Same guy at the counter. He flat-out refused and instead offered a $50 candy credit. Seriously? His excuse was that if they were fake, he got scammed too because he has 500 more. That’s not our problem. Why are you selling something you can’t even verify is real?
Totally unacceptable. If you’re going to sell questionable stuff, at least stand by...
Read moreBEWARE- SCAM ALERT! 💯 agree with the last post! FALSE ADVERTISING at this store. I too, trusted that the Pop Mart box and legitimate QR code linking to their website would ensure that my daughter's new "Labubu" was real. I believe they also had legitimate Labubus hanging by the register because I counted the teeth on them to make sure they had 9 teeth as the real dolls do. I should've gone with my gut instinct thinking $39.99 was too good to be true for the real deal...
A heartbreaking experience for an 8yr old who only wanted this for her vacation souvenir, and a rip off for a single mom that only wants to see her kids happy. I've been taking my kids here during our annual summer vacation every year since they opened- NEVER AGAIN! To rip off unsuspecting people especially children just to make a buck, and then gaslight people when they call you out on it?! An absolute disgusting business practice, and a shame for any child to have to learn a hard life lesson on the SCAMMERS of the world this way. You should be ashamed...
