I'm a country western performer out of salt lake. I needed a new hat for my performances. Being in Cody, I thought it would be great to have a Wyoming cowboy hat. I was there with 3 friends. I was trying on a variety of ways when the sales person belligerently said quit trying on hats unless your serious about buying one. This embarrassed me in front of my friends and was completely uncalled for. I asked him if he would buy a hat without trying it on and I was serious about buying a hat. But not from here. I like loud and crazy cowboy shirts and sometimes more conservative Wrangler shirts to punch cows in. This is a fantastic western wear store. Seems like it's easy to find good outfits. I bought a blue dark shirt and a Wyoming trader's camel colored vest to wear over it; it was on display together, somebody had put the outfit together. I wore it country western dancing and ended up going home with a woman and sleeping with her. This place gets 6/5...

The Cowboy Palace is a cute shop specializing in hats, boots and western clothing that is not overpriced.My husband found an excellent pair of workboots that were cheaper than any store and a comparable price to Amazon. The owner was working and said he was keeping the store open as late as there were customers, and there were four of us in the store at 1030 pm....
