I like this place and found some deals but one thing I've got to say is please watch the prices when you checkout.. that's the reason I'm giving 1 star.. they clearly mark things with the signs telling you how much it's going to be but then when you check out they enter in a different price so you question them.. they said on certain items there is supposed to but a price tag on them and when you question the sign and show them they said that's only on certain items.. ok fine so I go again and buy and item that has a price tag on it they checkout it out as a different price so I asked them why. They told me it was priced wrong and this is the price it should be.. then I go a different day and buy something that had a sign and a price tag on it that was more. Ok figured it wouldn't be a problem so I checked out and notice the cashier picking at the price tag trying to get it of the item and even damageing it.. I said what in the world are you doing and she goes these are priced wrong they are more than the price tags (yes I said price tags there was more than one and the same price)... So I wanted to talk to the manager and she said sure hang on a moment. She continued peeling the tags off. After she took them off she trashed them and then said if you want to talk to the manager about the prices you have to show what they was price as.. in which I why I believe she took them off before telling me that and now there no way of showing what they was priced.. I'm done with this store and hope rest of you just take the time and watch what you items ring up.. I always told in these places that cashier's never can price things and is always production in back or at another location can price things.. I'm not shopping somewhere where they make up there own prices even with price tags and sign...
Read moreThey are taking advantage of the hilliard community. Getting free goods donated by people who want to help others, then they hike the prices so they’re not affordable for people who need it. They’re charging $5 with tax for pants and shirts individually. I left and went to Walmart and got clothes cheaper. They had 3 pair packs of socks for $5 with tax too. That especially made me mad as our homeless community needs access to clean socks. You can buy a 2/3 packs at the dollar tree. It’s crazy to me that this place is actually considered a charity. It’s not. They are 100% scamming people and should be ashamed for charging so much. I did charity work a few years back at this store and I wish I had helped somewhere else out who actually cared about helping people. I will never be back to goodwill. They’re not getting a dime from me trying to take advantage of people who need help. And don’t get me started on their dishes. They’ll charge $2 for a mug. A MUG. THE DOLLAR TREE IS CHEAPER. Dishes shouldn’t cost more than the dollar tree’s I don’t care what brand they started with or how cute the mug is. It was free for you to price it so someone in need could afford it. $2 for a mug or a plate or a bowl is absolutely ridiculous. People in need will and do just go to the dollar tree at that point. I’ll never be back and definitely won’t be bringing any of my friends in need there. Last year I slept in my car more times than I can count with friends who became homeless and they weren’t allowed to stay with me. There’s no way they’d be able to afford this...
Read moreThis place is disgustingly overpriced. I went in looking for some saucers. They wanted $2 per saucer. You can find the same tempered glass saucers at Ikea for God's sake for a dollar for $0.99
For more context I bought the same exact kind of saucers that they had which is the old corel stuff for 50 cents each at another thrift store just like this one right down the street. I've literally seen at the antique stores that we go to the same saucers for a $$1.25
Given that Ikea has the same tempered glass saucers for a dollar these things should not be more than a buck add a freaking thrift store
I've got money on the ideas that they get on to eBay and see what eBay is selling something for which is antique store prices not thrift store prices.
This place is charging ridiculous prices that you would see at antique stores instead of a thrift shop. I will never step foot in this garbage place again
Congratulations you probably got the very first negative review I've ever given on Google
If you think I'm exaggerating go down through some of the other reviews here and look at the negative ones and see what they're complaining about. Literally saying the same thing I am that this place is...
