IHOP — Restaurant in Columbus

I placed an order at 9:25am. Was told the order would be ready by 9:41am. Came in at 9:51am and was made to wait while the 4 families that came in behind me were seated. App notifications at 9:56 that my order is being wrapped up. It is now 10:20, and three people have "checked" on my order with no update. I then get notified that my order was given to the wrong person. There's no reason there should have been a mixup when the people who have been "checking" on my orders have walked past me for the last 35-40 mins and I'm still here waiting.

UPDATE - tried my luck one year later and got the same result.

I placed a to-go order at 9:30am, with a confirmation that my food would be ready by 9:54. I got to the restaurant at 9:55 and was told by the first server that it'll be 5 mins. After 10 minutes, a second server asked if I had been helped. I told her I was waiting on a to-go order, and she said she'll go back and check. She then proceeded to seat guests who came in after me, never going to check. I was then approached by a third server who asked the same questions as the first two. She went into the back to check and said it was being prepared. After watching 4 different door dash drivers come in after me and get their food, the manager walks out with my food at 10:45 with no explanation, just saying that it shouldn't have taken that long. I finally get home to find out both omelettes were burnt (probably from rushing to cook an order they forgot about), and then covered with cheese to hopefully mask what was obvious. TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE! We waited for 15 minutes before even being seated even though there were at least 6 empty booths & several tables & there were only a few people ahead of us who seemed to have been waiting for no reason. The place was not even busy at all. We ordered our drinks & one of them came back with something floating in the cup & I had to wait 20 minutes for my drink. It took an hour for our food to come out & part of my order was missing. I had to ask several times & then after talking to a manager, he had to ask several times & ended up bringing it out to me. Something was TERRIBLY wrong with the eggs. My fiance mentioned they tasted gross & everyone who ordered eggs said the same thing. So I tried them & they tasted like what I'd imagine dirty dish water tastes like. Mine weren't even cooked so I couldn't even eat mine. The whites were still clear, cold & runny & i couldn't even pick them up off my plate without them falling apart. Instead of trying to make it right or apologise, our waitress decided to argue with us & come up with excuses about them being busy. When we tried to tell her about the eggs she stuttered & walked away from us like it was no big deal. Had to speak with the manager a second time because I'm not about to let it get swept under the rug that there's something clearly not right with the eggs. He ended up giving us a discount but I don't think we will ever be returning, I'm afraid of getting sick...

This location is bad. You will wait 20 min to be seated even with plenty of open tables and staff walking around strategically avoiding eye contact. You will wait 20 min to even be asked for your drink order and you will definitely know that they're mad that you're there by the heavy sigh and the look of disdain. Perhaps their battle fatigue is entirely warranted because the place always looks like it was the victim of a recent seige. But even if you are not going to be as poorly behaved as whomever left those tables destroyed and covered in trash and syrup, you will share the collective punishment.

By the time someone brings food to you it will be room temperature at best because who knows how long it's been hanging out, and it's not like it was ever gonna be more than greasy diner quality to begin with. There will be no refills. If they forgot to give you silverware or part of your order, that's between you and your god of choice because they will not come back around until it's to give you the bill, which you are encouraged to pay via the app/QR code because you will not find someone you can pay. It will be $50+ for this experience.

It's not one off day... It's every time. 2pm on a Tuesday with nobody in the dining room or 9am on a Saturday... It's the same. At this point it's on me for ever coming back because they've been incredibly consistent. Whatever cute nostalgia you have for this franchise,...
