I usually don't write reviews but had to over my experience today. I went in to get a full set with gel polish for a date with my fiancƩ on Sunday. I wanted to look cute for our date as we never get to see each other any more. I had called before I came in asking if I was able to get in due to it being 6:05pm and I knew they closed at 7. The very sweet girl on the phone told be they would be able to and I walked in. I have had my nails done at multiple places. This was a gorgeous salon. With a very nice atmosphere and seemed like a wonderful place to go. This location is incredibly convenient for me as it is on my way home. I was delighted to have possibly found a permanent place to go. (Used to regular a place at the Tuttle mall but they closed shop and relocated too far). The nail tech was very rough on my hands and rolled my joint a few times putting me in the position he wanted. If I was in a bad position I would have been more than happy to more and adjust for him (as I said not my first rodeo). He seemed really rushed and disinterested. He vigorously filed my nails and hit his lamp while filing multiple times. When he used the electric drill on my nails he was very forceful and it felt like the sides on my fingers were burning off. After putting on the acrylics I was told I had to pay before they would polish them. Ok. No problem. I paid. Left a decent tip and sat back down. Then he begins to file them again. My fingers are on fire. I could feel tears in my eyes and I was so upset at this point I couldn't wait to leave. Well as he goes to put on the nail polish he notices that THREE of my fingers are now bleeding where this file has tore up my skin. He then attempted to stop my ring finger from bleeding as he begins to paint the rest. He tries multiple times to stop it from bleeding but it won't. He finally finds some blue solution in a drawer. Not idea what it was. And puts it on a swab and presses it firmly into my finger. Oh. My. Gosh. This crap STINGS!!! I have a pretty decent pain tolerance but could feel tears in my eyes. He does this a total of three times before giving up and painting dried blood into my nails. The nails besides the blood, decent. The nails with blood look gross. I'm already squeamish when it comes to blood and now I'll get to look at it till I can fit in another appointment to get them done AT ANOTHER SALON. I will definitely not be returning. My fingers still hurt. And not ONCE did anyone offer so much as an apology. I was not told I'm sorry one time. That's ridiculous. $76 To get nails I'm going to have to get sore fingers and nails I'm going to have...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreSigh. I wanted to love this place so much. I thought I found a nail salon to go to regularly. Unfortunately, I will more than likely not be returning. Iām going to do my best typing this review without naming any names.
Iāve seen 3 nail techs there and only 1 of them has consistently done a good job. I was only placed with the other 2 when the 1 wasnāt available. With the other techs, I frequently seen gaps toward the base of the nail (cuticle area) after my balances. I would speak up about this but it didnāt make any difference. My issue with this is that it doesnāt look like I just got my nails done when they do this.. so I have to come back for a balance much sooner.
I understand that this is a business, however, the prices are a bit ridiculous for what you are getting. I paid $64 FOR AN UNDERARM WAX. Yep, you read that right. My choice, I get that but I was already there and I didnāt want to have to go somewhere else just for that. Needless to say, I usually go to Penzones; they charge $37 for an underarm wax and they are one of the top salons in central Ohio. Additionally, I get acrylic on each toe. I paid for a full set when I got the acrylic on my toes balanced. The owner gave a silly reasoning but it didnāt make sense so I didnāt bother to remember it. Iāve also never gotten a hand massage with my manicure EVER when I see other customers regularly getting this with theirs. It seems like this establishment places more importance on profit than the client experience/satisfaction.
Every last one of my appointments except my first one has been rescheduled. Things come up, I get it. But I work during majority of their business hours so it is hard for me to reschedule.
*I could go on but Iāll stop here. It would be different if the service consistently matched the priceā I could live with that. I will also say that the responses to all the negative reviews by the owner is in very poor taste. I expect no different for the reply on...

I went in this morning for a pedicure. No appointment, just a walk in. They were really busy, with each person attending to a customer. I was seated in a chair for a soak, after about 5 minutes of arriving. There were people who came in after me, who were also getting a pedicure. I sat with my feet in the water for about 35 minutes without nobody saying anything to me since I was seated, and the water was cold at this point. Eventually I noticed that the 2 customers that came in after me for a pedicure, 1 I know for sure didn't have an appointment, because she casually mentioned it to me when she arrived, was being serviced while I was soaking in cold water. After 45 minutes of sitting there soaking in cold water, with nobody saying what was going on,I got up to leave. It was at that point that someone then says that "he'll be with you in a minute ". I have been going to this salon since before the new owners bought the place years ago. I didn't have an appointment, but I was waiting on my turn for service. I don't know how it was determined that 2 other people would be serviced before me, but that was the wrong decision. I chose to spend my hard earned money here in the past, but after today's lack of respect and communication, I will no longer...
