3 separate people told me I could return my product within 30 days. One employee refused to help me, refused to call his supervisor, and told me to call customer support because it “wasn’t scanning right and he didn’t know why.” Customer support said that the store was wrong and they don’t know why they wouldn’t help me. They looked up my purchase and said they should be able to call the store and that I would receive a call back from this store with an update on what to do. nobody ever called me back so I went back in and they told me that apparently I was told wrong, I really only had seven days. I’m not sure why three separate people told me opposite. The employee who helped me the last time called his manager right in front of me (literally the guy who sold me the console) and I overheard him say I am clearly lying and just trying to get my money back. Then, even though they sold it to me for over $250, I asked how much it would be for them to just buy it back since I have not used since I bought it and they told me I would only get $140 back as that it’s “face value”. A complete scam. So shout out to the store for wasting my time and being the reason I’m out...
Read moreI was literally just in the store about 5 minutes ago and while I did buy a couple of games despite my treatment by the staff, I was absolutely mortified at the complete lack of customer service skills by both of the boys that were working. While I was in the store, neither attempted to engage with me or my fiance even once until we checked out.
Instead they sat there and continued a conversation with one another. When I had asked them for recommendations or any sort of question regarding anything, they were very brief with me and seemed annoyed that I had disturbed them while they were having a conversation. In fact, I had asked them if there were any EverQuest RPGs released after PS2 such as re-releases or anything of Champions of Norrath, one made the comment that "Yeah you look up there in age." I was absolutely appalled. For one, I'm not even that old. Second, last I checked, that is not something you ever say to a customer.
Now I know that game stores are not known for hiring people with the best social skills, but they seem super chatty with one another. Terrible service and unless it is to return something, I don't think I will ever return to...
Read moreCalled and traveled to 3 different stores to find 3 used games that I was interested in to take advantage of the Buy 2 get one promotion on used games. All three games were available at this store so I drove an hour to pick them up. When I got there I quickly found all three boxes on the shelves and proceeded to check out. The staff member could not find the first game and I was told that there was one in stock, but it must have been misplaced or stolen. The staff member did not seem surprised that the game had disappeared and acted like it happens frequently. The reason that they take the games out of the cases should be to keep them safe in the locked drawers behind the register. My assumption is that the staff members treat the used game stock as a free rental service. My frustration with the situation and Gamestop has unfortunately surpassed my desire to ever play the games. This is 2/2 times within the last year that I have left Gamestop stores disappointed with all of my money still in my pocket. I can see why the stock is plummeting to the ground, their pricing on all of the new items is cheaper elsewhere online...
