My daughter and I visited the Easton Market location yesterday on 3/21. We were without a doubt racially profiled inside this store. We were greeted upon walking in, so things felt positive, initially. I don’t know if the fact that we took so long was an issue. However, my daughter and I don’t get to spend a lot of time together. So, we were taking our time browsing throughout the store. As we were in the back of the store checking out the teas, a young white girl joined us. She had her phone the entire time, so I thought she was a customer. Now that I look back on it, I think she may have been an employee. She stared at us the entire time while pretending to look in her phone and this went on for about 5 to 10 minutes. While we were finishing up our purchases and approaching the front of the store. An employee (short, middle aged white woman with glasses..I believe she had on glasses) walked past us and asked if we found everything ok. We said yes. She then doubled back, walked over to our cart, looked in it and said, “Wow! Is all this for one person?” as she continued to browse our items. We hadn’t even made it to checkout yet! We only had about 10-15 items in the cart. It wasn’t anything large or plentiful that would invite the type of attention we got from her. It immediately upset me and my daughter. I told her to leave the cart and we walked out. They clearly thought we were stealing! I have never been racially profiled like that in all my 47 years of living! Even growing up in the South I’ve never had anything like that happen to me. We definitely won’t be going back. I’ll be spreading the word to anyone that’ll listen about our experience, including corporate. Please run your cameras (3/21 around 12:15-1pm) back so you can see that we did nothing wrong and had no intention of stealing from ANYONE, let alone World Market! My daughter was wearing a Duke sweatshirt...

Always something. The worldly items and decor are more limited and the store is starting to resemble every other home decor place anymore. They used to really stand out. I’ve bought a dining room table, other furniture, entire dish sets, and tons of other odds and ends. I loved this store. Been going here for years but officially done. I moved out of town by an hour and like to come whenever I can, but my coupons are always short-lived and expired. The prices are too high to go without one. It’s just not worth the trip anymore. So...
