I can’t stop thinking about my experience today. I was treating myself to a pedicure for my bachelorette trip this week and went at the only time I had available this week. I hate that they don’t have front desk staff. I checked in and waited 30 minutes. I was not greeted by anyone. At the 15 minute mark past my appt time I went back to check the iPad to make sure I checked in properly and a guy who was with a client got up and asked me if I checked in right and then checked their system and said my person will be with me shortly. My person got up and ran to the back because they were still with someone else. At this point I’m getting stressed because I had to go back to work after my appointment and we are now 20 minutes behind. A girl comes out and starts setting up and filling up water. She grabs me and says I can start soaking. After soaking for 20 minutes and at this point I had been waiting nearly an hour I decide I need to leave. My service should’ve been almost over by then. The customer service was horrible. My nail tech was clearly dealing with a horrible client which caused her run over by 45 minutes. But where was a manager or another nail tech? The nail tech I spoke to said if I leave I would need to pay and was very condescending. Questioning why I had to leave and saying they could still do a pedicure just not the one I booked with the time left. I don’t want a rushed pedicure and not the service I booked after waiting 45 minutes. They allowed me to reschedule in order to leave and not be charged. I called customer service and was able to cancel and not be charged. I will not be back. Terrible customer service from the staff at the store. They need front desk or management at least. I left with no pedicure and now I won’t have one...
Read moreI got gel extensions and a pedicure. Firstly, I had to pay extra for "nail art" just to get white tips. The extensions started falling off after 5 days and I was having to reapply them with nail glue. The "gel" pedicure I thought I was getting, was just a pedicure and the paint started chipping the first week, including the paint coming off of one nail entirely. The whole experience cost me $221.72, after tip. I made a follow up appointment while I was still there, for a month out, but forgot to put the appointment in my calendar (that's my fault). I forgot about it and surprisingly they don't have automated text reminders. When I didn't show, I was told that I needed to get there before 6pm or I'd have to pay the full amount of the services I scheduled which were gel extensions (they don't stay on), nail art, and gel extension removal (I no longer had any to remove). I explained this but was told I still had to pay for all 3 things. So I said that I could be there around 4pm but that I'd just get a manicure even if I had to pay for the rest. Then they texted and said they were wrong and that I had to be there within 30 minutes or I'd be charged $119. I couldn't be there within that timet frame so I said they'd just have to charge me. They ended up charging me $110 for the missed appointment instead. I never would have gone back in the first place but now I definitely won't and I felt the need to write this.
Update: Despite what the owner says below, I did not receive a reminder text 24 hours before my appointment. I do believe I was sent a confirmation text when I booked the appointment but as I said, I forgot to put it into my calendar. Again, as I said, missing the appointment was my fault. The shoddy work and...
Read moreNot sure why this isn’t posting. I’ve given them so many chances but this is probably my third “lost appointment.” I’ve had probably three free services now due to their incompetence—missing appointments and a bad service. Today two of us arrived at 5:45. We waited almost five minutes with no one at the desk. Finally someone came out and my name was called and she was confused and told the other person that their appointment wasn’t in the system. Somehow their computer system “messed up again” and canceled their appointment. My appointment WAS in the system (this time!). However, after the staff member disappeared and waiting five more minutes I was told I would have to reschedule—the other woman’s appointment would be honored since she had been comped for their incompetence from some previous incident. (Does anyone pay for an appointment anymore with all the comping?) I have an event tomorrow but she didn’t try to accommodate me. I got some handwritten note for a “polish change.” Gee, thanks but you’re dysfunctional and I’m done. If we can’t trust your scheduling process, what’s the point? You didn’t want my business, so that’s fine. I’ve also had a gel done so badly it streaked and I had to come back in an hour later, but that was at German Village. I’ll miss the DSW points but my time is...
