Great items and awesome clearance stuff. SHOPPING IN STORE IS ALWAYS GREAT EXPERIENCE. However today's online shopping trip did not go well. Here's what happened.
#1 Issue Online shopping cart said all my 38 items in stock. When I got to store, 13 items were not pulled. I spend 2 hours at home shopping online adding stuff thinking I would get to store have all stuff and leave happy. However, I found out that not all stuff was there when email notified items ready for pickup which upset me since the app said the stuff was there IN STOCK. The clerk had difficulties finding my order in the picking shelf area and took extra time to find my two sacks. We had to remove all items from bags and figure out what was there and missing. I did receive $5 gift card for my inconvenience which was nice but that can't replace extra time and effort I spent navigating hours of Target app/reshop. She was very helpful but was ready to be done as I was talking to her saying thank you for help with me looking at her. She looked right over me to next customer in line. I literally had to wave my hands at her to get her attention.
#2 issue I then spend an additional 1-1/2 hours in the store finding almost all the items that the shopper pulling clerk didn't find and pull for me as advertised in app IN Stock. this was supposed to be a convenience thing for me and turned out to be a giant pain in the ass.
#3 Issue Upon checking out, I purchased Reduce 40 Oz mug for $22.99, and the next clerk rang it up twice. The machine honked at her but she didn't stop to investigate what the odd noise was moving to scan more items. I was stumped at to why my billed seemed extra high. Lucky after leaving store on parking lot, I reviewed the receipt and noted mistake. I went back in and the first clerk refunded me the price. Everyone apologized for the mistake which was very costly had I not discovered it and cost me more extra time at Target from your mistakes. I accepted the apologies with a smile.
#4 Issue Because all the personal items that I ordered online where not in store and/or because first clerk cancelled removed the missing not pulled items, I did not receive my $50 Beauty Box for September with the "cancelization". An email I received from Target said my $50 Beauty Box is due to arrive by mail around October 10th. However, I saw on the online cancellation notice of my free box was removed/cancelled with the checkout process and received email that it was ME who cancelled it. I did not cancel it to be very clear.
All these bizarre happenings were not fair to me. I followed the rules, diligently shopping with app, diligently looking for cartwheel coupons adding them, and decided to pickup in store instead of ship waiting for my order to arrive days later. I went to store and the personal shopper pulling items didn't do a good job of finding my items. This was my 2nd bad experience with online shopping. Items were stated in stock there, but when got to store and discovered that...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreLoved my experience when I ordered, shared my location and picked up. I have 4 young kids and intend to use this A LOT. However once I got home, there was an item missing (purchase qty of 2, but only got qty of 1). I went back to the handy Target app and tried to use that to fix the issue. In the app, I clicked on my order and pressed Fix an Issue. I checked the box next to the item, in What's wrong? I selected Missing Item, for Quantity affected I selected 1. A message appeared "It looks like this item is still on the way. This item should be delivered soon. If the item has not arrived after the delivery date, come back to resolve the issue." I would have expected that I could press the Continue button below, but it was still grayed out. So at that point, I tried using the "Help" on the previous screen. When i searched "missing" or "drive" in the help section, nothing applicable was available for Drive-Up orders. I was left to call the store at this point. I tried the store several times, but could not get through. I went in a few days later to find out the phones at the store were down. By the way, the employees were WONDERFUL, got my item immediately and I couldn't have asked for a better response. Mistakes are going to happen, but it would be awesome if the app could be used to fix those mistakes and they could be done through the drive up order...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI'm a frequent Target shopper and am considering moving to the South County area. I read another review on this site with regards to the security guard. Totally agree, it seems this store has a high theft rate because it's difficult to shop (especially those of a different ethnicity) without the watchful eye of the security team. I finished my shopping yesterday only to discover I forgot one item. With bags in tow, I inquired about the location of the forgotten item and was escorted to that department fully guarded as if I might trying putting an automobile air freshener in my bag ... seriously! Today I returned to pick up an online order and dealt with Debbie in customer service who was initially rude and snappy. Alynda (Allie) was a bit more pleasant. While heading to the front of store, I noticed two obvious security guards eyeing an African American gentleman who was in self checkout "making" a purchase. I heard one of the security guards mumble "black" but he may have been referring to a guy (same ethnicity as guards) who was wearing a black shirt. Not everyone is a thief regardless of ethnicity. Should I decide to reside in South County, I will spend my hard earned money at another...
