This location keeps stuff in the back a lot, but it could just be a coincidence Iāve experienced lately with several items including r.e.m. beauty launches - this store is usually the last in the area to put items out but is very helpful in terms of getting items from the back they havenāt put out. Today was just a weird, one-off experience I hope. I came in to check out Charli DāAmelioās new perfume & it was not out in the perfume section - my husband & I walked around looking for about 10 minutes while the security guard tracked our every move. If we moved a few feet, he followed us & watched us pick up the bottle. Then followed us to the next bottle. That does not bother ME, but it was definitely something we noticed. They must have a lot of perfume bottle thefts at this location because he was on top of us & this is the only location in the area that Iāve ever seen a security guard at Ulta. After not being able to find the Charli DāAmelio perfume, we asked a store associate for help locating it and she was also surprised to find it was not in the perfume section & had been moved to the back. She told us āit was moved to the back because they werenāt allowed to sell it or somethingā & went to go get it. I appreciate her doing that, she was very helpful. She found my husband & gave him the box sheād pulled from the back & he brought it over to me like, āIsnāt the reason we came here is you were excited to try it on & wear test it before buying?ā So, I found the same associate & explained I was sorry but had just never smelled this perfume before, I was more so asking about a tester & she was like, āWe have the tester in the back, did you want it?ā And I said that would be great, I didnāt want to spend $50 without smelling the perfume. She brought the box & tester from the back to us & I tried it on & decided it wasnāt for me, but had to do this while she was standing next to me staring at me, I didnāt want to take too much of her time or feel pressured to buy so I gave the items back & she took them back to the back room. I feel bad that she had to go back twice, itās certainly not her fault that the Charli perfume is being pulled or whatever the weird situation is with it but it sure was weird & uncomfortable. She was nice to go get the items from the back & I appreciate that, it just was again, uncomfortable, I even asked if the perfume was being recalled or why it wasnāt available in their perfume section but was being sold online & she said, āI donāt know.ā We left & made a purchase at the IKEA...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI have been coming to this location for 5 years but I have finally reached my wits end. I use a specific foundation powder and this location is one of the few that carries it. When I first started coming here the product was $33 for the foundation powder. Last year they raised the price to around $40 but when I went in yesterday they had raised the price again to just below $50. I understand inflation is bad right now but that seemed a little ridiculous to me. I pulled up Amazon today and saw that I could buy the same powder for $20 and thatās what Iāll be doing from now on. But that isnāt even the main reason Iāve decided to stop coming here. I am not a big fan of giving out personal information when making a purchase. I never give my name, phone number or email. The girls working at this store will almost berate you for not doing so. Every single time. Yesterday when I went in, I told the girls that I did not want to give my phone number. First they told me they could sign me up easily. I politely declined.. Then they told me I would not be able to return the product if something should be wrong with it. I told them that was ok. Then they asked me if I had a friends number that I could put in. I said I did not and if I did, I would not be comfortable doing that anyway. They asked me a fourth time to put a phone number in. Again I said no and they begrudgingly rang up my product. I feel frustrated and annoyed every time I leave this store as that back and forth happens every time and itās a bit much. I am writing this in hopes that the manager will see it and hopefully reform their policy when asking for peoples personal information. It should not be necessary for someone to give out their name, email and phone number every time they would like to make a purchase from your store and if someone declines once that should be the end of the...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI went in for a brow appointment yesterday on my lunch break. I went straight to the brow bar where Iāve been told to check in before. I stood there for 10min trying to make eye contact with one of the many associates walking around me till one finally asked if I need help with anything. I told her I was there for an appointment, she went to ask the manager then told me to check in at the salon, I did so, that associate said the stylist would be right with me. I then proceeded to wait another 15min till I decided to ask 2 other associates close by. One apologized, looked me up and went to look for the girl, she came back and said she would be right over and directed me to the chair. I told the stylist I was sorry but I was on my lunch break and on a hurry. She confirmed I wanted wax and tint. Then before I knew it she had waxed my brows into tiny pencil lines! They look awful, she never asked me what I liked or what I wanted done to them like the previous times Iāve gone. I was just ready to leave. But she then tried to up sale me on lamination! Then she said the tint needed to sit, instead of filling out the check out slip like they usually do during this time she went off chatting with other employees, came back with her Stanley cup. Said I was done and that she just needed to fill out the slip. Then she couldnāt find one, she asked someone else, they proceeded to take over 5min to look for them. All just to right my name, her # and what I got done on it so then I had to go wait in the checkout line to pay for a service I hated! I stood in line for over 5min. By the time I got to the register, I had been in the store for an hour! For a 20min service! The cashier didnāt ask how my services were or anything, just asked if I wanted to add a tip?! Hilarious.
