Extremely poor experience, very poor service. I gave one star because there was no option for zero. My friend and I went to pick out a graduation gift for another friend of ours. There was a sales lady putting together a display and didn't even look up at us when she saw us enter until I asked her if she could show me a Pandora bracelet for me. She told me very unhappily that the bracelets and pendants were sold separately. To me, her attitude seemed to question me if you could afford to pay separate prices, which made me sad. My mood of picking out a gift for my friend was ruined, and then I tried to stay calm. By the time I said I wanted to check out, the lady was unhappy and impatiently questioned me about what size I needed. I didn't feel she offered the help she should have offered me, she didn't ask if I needed help picking out the right size, her attitude made me feel like I was doing something wrong, and she seemed to think that everyone should know the right size jewelry for themselves. If I knew everything there was to know about jewelry, why would I need sales to help me? So I told her I wanted a different sale to help me, and she started to get angry and explain. She thought it was my fault that I was preventing her from selling me this bracelet because I didn't tell her my size. It never occurred to her that I just didn't know which size would fit, and she never asked me who I was buying this bracelet for and if I needed a size recommendation. She then called her colleague, still emphasizing that I was the one not providing useful information, and stubbornly asked for a new sale. Although the new sales was not enthusiastic either, at least she helped me find the right size. Throughout, I didn't see a smile or respect, didn't get the help I needed, and didn't hear a single apology. At least I said I was sorry when I suggested I wanted a different sales person. Read moreHere is an honest review. I needed a new battery for my Citizen watch. I was trying to find a jeweler who could do it and someone recommended that I try Riddles. I approached the sales representative and asked if he could please swap out the old battery for a new one as I didn't have the specific tool to open the watch or I would've done it myself. $21 to have someone open the watch, install the battery then NOT be able to put the back of the watch back on is inexcusable, especially seeing as you opened it and can't reassemble it THEN want to say you can send it out to someone who can put the back on which I am assuming would have been another charge. Luckily, there was another associate in the store who was able to reassemble the watch and I was able to get it and leave. This type of experience makes me not want to do any future business with this place. I don’t mean to be so harsh in my review, but if you’re going to have people working in this line of work, especially when it concerns high priced items such as jewelry then they should be properly trained. Read moreI feel like I'm the only one who had a problem with them based on reviews but it's really annoying. My fiance bought my engagement ring from Riddles and I love it. So we came in to look for wedding bands, we found one that I loved for a reasonable price and had them order it. They estimated a month for it to come to the store. I gave them a few extra days since we hadn't heard anything. I went in and asked about the order, the response I got was that it couldn't be fulfilled by the vendor. But this wasn't communicated until a month later AND I came in to ask. No phone call or email. So I had them order with a new vendor. Told about a week for it to come in. Went in a week later, hadn't been ordered yet. Told them to order it AGAIN. Still nothing and it's 2 months after the original order was "placed". Still have heard absolutely nothing with a month till my wedding. Was able to go to a competitor and buy the same ring for the same price and take it home that day.
