Uggghhh! If you have seen any one of my hundreds of reviews, you know that 90 percent have 3 or 4 stars. I save 5 stars for that extreme dining or entertainment experience. Likewise, I save 1 and 2 star ratings for the worst of the worst. This place delivers. Overpriced junk food that doesn't even taste good in a greasy, smelly, dirty atmosphere. Now you might think I had a horrible experience and that I am being unfair. I assure you the photos are testament to the cleanliness, the prices are self evident and you can taste the food for yourself. I don't know if this place is surviving off its former glory days, but the food wasn't worth HALF of what i paid. I first went to a Five Guys back in 2006 in Arlington, Virginia, on Hwy 1. Now, that was an experience. The place was buzzing. The food was delicious, and the peanut oil fries were done to perfection. Fast forward to today, and this overpriced burger and fries spot made McDonalds look good. Look at that measly joke of a burger in my photo. Tasteless. The place was dirty everywhere. I didn't see anyone spray a table the whole 30 minutes we were there. I thought I would have better luck outside, but the rain hadn't cleaned those tables either. The fries which i remember propelled this place to fame were horrible. They were soggy and had a sour taste, common with undercooked potatoes that have skin on them still. I can't say much for the service because honestly I don't remember my interaction with the young man who took my order. Although I may have e been spotted taking pictures and the staff quickly put a mat down in front of the soda machine where the melting ice cubes had caused the greasy floor to activate into in skating rink. I recommend you eat elsewhere.

I can't begin to express how much I love these Burgers. These are not your typical burgers and this is not your typical Burger place. 1st off the menu is simple and you can get whatever you want on your Burgers with extra toppings for free. The burgers come with single or double Patty and I always add an extra to the double to make mine a triple. I wouldn't recommend this unless you have a huge appetite. In addition to getting the Burger with anything you want on it from grilled jalapenos to different sauces they have really good shakes in different flavors that my family always loves. The FRIES!!! Let's bring me to the fries. Most places the fries are not even in my review which shows you how awesome their fries are. For starters one order of a large fry feeds my family a for. Every order comes in a brown bag and the fries weigh like at least a pound in the bag with out the burgers. A good thing if you get it to go the fries will keep the burgers warm because they're covering them. Over all great Burger place that's always fast always good and never gets old.

It did not seem to be that crowded , but it took a long time to get 2 burgers and fries. I ordered a small cheeseburger with mayo ,lettuce, and tomato. It was the perfect size. The burger was just OK , onions found their way on it, and they just chopped up the strong white onions , so good thing not to many were on it. The cheese was only partially melted, and they put NO SEASONING AT ALL on Burger Patty, at least, that is how it it tasted. The seasoned French fries are at least seasoned but floppy and not crispy AT ALL. I got water because even if it is a fancy coke machine with 20 million choices , I am not paying over $3.00 for a Coke or any if it's friends. Water is better for you in this heat anyway.

I love Five Guys burgers and fries with one exception; I don't like their buns. They seem like just super cheap buns. Not sure how else to describe them. They don't hold up to the burgers and everything they put in them. I think this may be what they're going for but I'm not a fan of soggy crappy buns. Buns aside, the burgers are awesome especially with everything you can get on them. They don't skimp on the toppings nor do they skimp on the fries. Whatever size you order of fries they fill the cup then put just about the same amount outside the cup in your bag. Love, love, love the fries! The shakes are really good as well. Everything is fresh. No frozen fries as someone else said they looked frozen.

And yes, they are a bit high priced. Which is why the quality of the buns really surprises me. But overall it's still worth the price for such good burgers and fries imo. It was about $13.** For a hamburger and regular fries. A regular hamburger is a good sized 2 patty burger with any toppings available at no extra charge. A regular fry is more like a super sized+ fry at most other places. So even at that price, it's a...

I never thought I'd say this, but we are never going back to this give guys. They got my wife's order wrong three times in a row. She ordered a small cheese burger with mayo, catsup, lettuce and tomato only. Try one: No tomato, extra pickles (wife Hates pickles) Try two: no lettuce, no cheese, extra pickles (did I mention my wife hates pickles?). Try three: I took it back this time. The bun was soggy, like soaked in grease, no lettuce, meat red inside (not pink, but red). I took it back up and thought it was just the funniest thing ever and were laughing and joking about it. I told them to give me a refund. This is the only five guys the has EVER gotten the order wrong in my experience. Unfortunately, they are the only five guys in Corpus Christi, TX. Seriously, MCD's is a major upgrade from this five guys.

Previous Review They have increase their costs by about $2.00 a burger, across the board. The bacon cheese burger is now over $10.00!!! The meat used to go to the edge of the bun, now it 1/2 to an inch smaller. Their bags of peanuts now are like 10-15 old, stale peanuts. Too bad, they had...
