Floyd's 99 Barbershop — Local services in Cypress

I will never step foot in this barbershop again. I called before I went up the street to the new location and asked if there was a wait for a kids edge up and fade. The girl said no wait and I told her I’ll see you in a few minutes. Literally got there in less than 10 minutes and there were no customers waiting or in chairs. There were 2 barbers and 2 stylists just “hanging out”. And the girl (receptionist I’m assuming) said they couldn’t get my son in for another hour and half. I looked around and asked why is that? I just called and you said there was no wait. She proceeded to tell me they got booked up with appointments 40 min ago…. So why on the phone odd you say there’s no wait!? I absolutely hate businesses like this. They will lie to get you in and then make you wait. It’s horrible service and I will never recommend this...

I was looking for a good place for my son to get a haircut because he got traumatized at another haircut place that we will not name at this time. I saw that they opened at barbershop on Fry rd in cypress and my wife told me that Floyd's barbershop was open to take my son. So , I wanted to try out the barbershop and my son needed a haircut.So I used him as the tester to see if they can do a good fade. Jamal at Floyd's on Fry rd did a great job. My son loved his haircut and is not traumatized to get his haircut again thank Jamal for your haircutting skills. Since Jamal did a great job on my son hair . I wanted Jamal to trim my beard to see if he did a good job and he did. I will be coming back for more haircuts and beard trim....
