Hand & Stone Massage and Facial Spa — Local services in Dallas

Today I went to Hand and Stone for the first time. The beginning of my experience was good. The gentleman at the front desk was nice and helpful then I waited for my massage. I know that it's only 50 minutes of hands on time which is always disappointing but it's even more so disappointing when you don't get the full time of the 50 minutes. My appointment was for 11am and I was pick up by my therapist David at 11:04. After the consult I was probably on the table by 11:08. When it was over I checked the time and I was off of the table by 11:51. So I was shorted about 7 mins. That may not seem like a big deal however I am a massage therapist and I'm pregnant and I really needed every minute. Now on to the massage... it was decent. Definitely nothing to go rave about. I felt that there were many areas of my back that were hardly touched but my levator scapulae at the superior angle insertion was over worked to the point I had to tell him it was beginning to be uncomfortable. Then the timing of his massage seemed all over the place. I'd have a few mins on one leg and then seconds on the other. I know that I sounds picky but a relaxing massage should have consistency. There were some good strokes to his massage but overall it was just mediocre. Now that I'm home my left shoulder where he kept going over the same spot hurts so much more then before I came in. Being pregnant and not having much of a sense of relief sucks. I wouldn't go back to...

Worst Experience ever!! I booked my reservation in the morning for 5 PM, gave my credit card details as well. At 4 PM, I got a call and was told to come at 5:15PM. I reached there at 5:05PM and called them to explain the directions to the Salon. I was put on hold for several minutes. I was around there just 2 minutes away from the Salon, but couldn’t find the exact location. I called several times and I didn’t get any help with the location as the receptionist was not helpful at all. She was not telling me the exact location. Finally, at 5:30 after getting help from people nearby I found the Salon. When I went there, I was told that I cannot get the service. The reason she gave me was that “I am late”.... I was like seriously, I am calling you guys since 5:05PM, 10 minutes early than my appointment, you guys never helped me with the directions as I was only 2 minutes away from you. Eventually, I found out the reason that the person who was going to give the facial service was busy with some other client...this is very unprofessional, I drove 45 minutes to this salon and after reaching there I got to hear this???? Where was my fault in all this? My first time experience was the worst experience..I don’t expect this kind of inconvenience. I will not recommend this salon as the staff is not...

I originally booked a couples massage for Thursday, I called to reschedule the appointment and when doing so the receptionist informed me the masseuse that was originally scheduled called in sick due to covid, keep in mind this was 24 hours before my original appointment, I asked who would be replacing her, she informed me there is no one to replace her, so #1 you weren’t going to call to notify me that I HAD to reschedule my appointment even if I didn’t want to! Because I was originally calling in to reschedule I said that’s fine I would reschedule both appointments (for my husband and I) for Sunday, the receptionist then said great actually two of our highly requested masseuses are available, I said great put me down for both. I then received a text message 48 hours before the appt to confirm only my husband appt, I then called just to verify there are two appointments and the receptionist informed there wasn’t, it was only one and she doesn’t know what happened, which is unacceptable! They completely lack communication here AND they NEVER answer their phones, it took me so many times to get in touch with someone both times.
