Hereās the revised version with your additional text at the beginning:
Terrible experience at Sephora as a company, more than the specific location. I have always purchased my makeup from Sephora for ease of access, as they carry all brands in one place. But when it comes to complaints, itās no longer Sephoraās problemāit becomes the individual companiesā responsibility for their products. I visited this location multiple times to find a specific lipstick shade. The advisors made me try a few testers to check the shade from almost all brands.
Inside the store, the advisors handed me testers as they ran around to find shades from different brands, and I trusted them to sanitize the products. I ended up buying the ones I liked that night. Later, I noticed my lips feeling extra dry, so I applied lip balm. Over the next few days, I used both new lipsticks I purchased, but my lips kept getting drier and started peeling. I experienced constant tingling, dryness, chapped, peeling lips, and the skin around my mouth was also affected.
I contacted the store, corporate office, and customer service through phone calls, live chat, and emails. However, no one helped or seemed to care. They blamed it on me, suggesting it was my fault as the customer and claimed Sephora was not responsible for individual reactions. I take allergy tests every year and donāt have allergies to specific chemicals. They even tried to blame the brand of the lipstick, despite the fact that I also tried Sephora-brand lipsticks. They didnāt offer any assistance.
I also posted about my experience on their forum. While I understand it would be my responsibility if I had tried the testers directly without sanitizing, I had two advisors helping me that day. I would rather buy makeup individually from the websites as they might take more accountability...

I recently visited the Sephora store in West Village, a place where I have been a loyal customer for quite some time. However, my recent experience left me deeply disappointed and offended.
After making my purchases and heading towards the exit, I noticed that the cashier who assisted me was following me, as if to ensure that I wouldn't steal anything. This made me feel incredibly uncomfortable and targeted. I immediately approached Michael, one of the store associates who has always been helpful to me in the past. I expressed my utmost disappointment and explained how I had never felt so offended in my entire life at this establishment.
What struck me the most about this experience was the unmistakable presence of racism. Being followed by an employee solely based on my race is not only demeaning but also perpetuates harmful stereotypes. It is disheartening to witness such discriminatory behavior in a place where I expected to be treated with respect and equality.
I believe it is essential for businesses to train their staff on the importance of inclusivity and cultural sensitivity. Racial profiling should never be tolerated, and measures should be implemented to ensure that all customers are treated fairly and without bias.
I strongly urge the management of Sephora in West Village to thoroughly investigate this incident and take immediate steps to address the issue of racism within their establishment. No customer should have to endure such a distressing experience. It is my hope that this review serves as a wake-up call, prompting positive change and fostering a more inclusive environment for all patrons.
Update: NOTHING HAVE BEEN...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreSunday I came into this location for the first time and was greeted by the lovely Michelle. I told her I was coming to get KVD foundation, she informed me that the products are no longer available. Instead of turning me away she introduced me to Celeste who was super sweet and knowledgeable. Celeste helped me find another foundation, she took her time going through the shades to find that perfect match, she also gave me the run down on the product & how itās similar to what I normally get. After I picked out my foundation, I informed Celeste that Iām all good to go. Of course, moments later I remembered I needed a concealer as well. Celeste had another client she was helping at the time. But Yvette came to my rescue as I was standing in confusion, She was fun to talk to and understood my concerns with concealers and took her time to help find what I was looking for. As she was helping me, I decided to pick up more products that I could use. This is the first location I have EVER come across where the staff was a 10/10. They are pretty engaging, super nice and helpful in every way possible. I didnāt feel any pressure to buy what they offered, it was the experience, positive vibes that I received that encourage me to spend more time in the store.
I donāt normally write reviews but because I was blown away by their top notch service it...
