I was forced to give it a star to review. I have been going to this gym for almost 2 years. A new guy was working there tonight and I asked for the managers name so I could ask why they had notated my account. He said "your not going to get me in FU* trouble" basically he was saying that if he gave me her name he would get in trouble. I told him not to cuss at me and he escalated and got worse. At one point he came out from behind the counter and put his hands on me and told me I needed to leave that he could refuse me service. I said get your hand off me, I am not leaving, you are the one physically threatening me and cussing at me. He used to F word 7 or 8 times and kept up with the attitude even after the manager showed up. Basically, the manager did not like me from an incident that happened there a while back and she sided with him even though he was still cussing at me and threatening me as I spoke with her about what happened. I was treated with absolutely ZERO respect. I was cussed at and that guy put his hands on me. He should not be touching me period. I ended up being told to leave because the manager than showed up does not like me from a previous incident. I am a nice and respectful person and I was simply asking for the managers name that notated my account so that I could figure out how to fix the problem in their computer. If a police officer had been there the guy that worked there would have been arrested for his verbal threats and putting his hands on me. The manager sided with him because she doesn't like me. I have NEVER been treated so badly in any business in my entire life and I have been going to that gym for close to two years. I strongly suggest to ANYONE that decides to work out there to watch out for some of the staff members because they have no respect for the customer and will gang up on you. I am a doctoral student, I work full time as well, and I have never in my life experienced such horrible treatment anywhere. Read moreI recently canceled my membership after being a member for six long months, and I must say, my experience was nothing short of frustrating. This gym has demonstrated a complete lack of understanding when it comes to dealing with its members. From the inadequate member service to the constant overcrowding, it was an overall disappointment.
First and foremost, the gym staff seemed completely clueless about how to handle member concerns and provide satisfactory assistance. Whenever I approached them with questions or issues, they appeared uninterested and unhelpful. Their lack of knowledge and commitment to member satisfaction was truly appalling. It felt like they were simply going through the motions, without any real understanding of the importance of providing excellent customer service.
Additionally, the overcrowding at this gym was a constant headache. Each time I visited, I found myself waiting for long periods just to access the equipment I needed for my workout. It was incredibly frustrating and counterproductive to have to waste precious time waiting for someone to finish their sets. The gym seemed to have no effective system in place to manage the high number of members, resulting in an unpleasant and chaotic environment.
Furthermore, the gym management seemed completely indifferent to the overcrowding issue. There were no efforts made to address this problem, such as implementing a reservation system or expanding the gym's facilities. It felt as though they were more focused on attracting new members than providing a quality experience for the existing ones.
Overall, my experience was highly disappointing. The staff's lack of knowledge and commitment to member satisfaction, coupled with the constant overcrowding, made it impossible for me to continue my membership. I would strongly advise anyone considering joining this gym to think twice before committing their time and money. Read moreUpdated review- I originally posted about 8 months ago about my dismay over the seemingly lack of maintenance re- the showers and changing area at this location. I received a reply from the owners quite promptly communicating their concern s we ugh a suggestion that any issues be addressed locally as they had a commitment to service and an urgency to addressing such issues. HA! What a load of BS! I am no longer disappointed, I am now insulted and actively dismayed. You seriously offered “lip service” as to your concern and I assumed action would follow… it is at least 8 months later and NOTHING ! I have visited on average once a month or so and the issues I originally pointed out I.e., the shower head being held together by a bag is now creatively tied up with a black string. The lock on 2 of the 3 changing rooms have been removed leaving the rooms without a way for the door to be securely closed. Quite frankly, this is unacceptable! The fact that you feigned concern then simply ignored the issue is off putting. In my opinion… I would not recommend this location at all. I am downgrading my initial rating from 3 to 1. You only have a business if you have clientele. If this is the way you treat your clientele you have a problem. Super disappointed and insulted.
I get that this is an “older” location… but, you must keep things up! The shower heads in the women’s locker room were caked with hard water deposits to the point that water doesn’t spray properly, the handicap shower head was cleverly tied up with a bag… yes, someone had gone to the trouble to tie it up with a bag so it could be used. Cleaver, yes. Appropriate NO! Come on Mr/Mrs Franchisee, fork out the $100 and purchase 4 shower heads that work! No excuse for not taking care of simple, cheap...
