Fat Straws Boba & Mochi Donuts (Alpha & Noel) — Restaurant in Dallas

Employees have really bad attitude if you want any specific drink you will have to deal with a lot of attitude and you drink won't be delivered anyways. I discovered this place about 2 years ago but it was never a thing for me until last month a friend told me the had Vietnamese coffee which I love, since then I've been going there at least every other day, I like my vietnamese coffee with a LITLE chai or thai tea just so the Vietmanese coffee is not so so strong, I don't mind the upcharge just give me my coffee flavor drink. Well my drink ALWAYS taste like tea and no vietnamese coffee, I've tried to explain in English and Spanish because apparently the girl and other guys making the drink couldn't understand me, it's so frustrating because she was laughing while making the same thai tea with a little bit of coffee, I feel like I want to jump behind the counter and do my drink myself, like how hard is this?

"3/4 of coffee and 1/4 of tea" or "a lot of coffee and little of tea" now, what about "more than half of coffee, the rest with tea"

Now they have done it just perfectly but it is on only when they feel like it and they play with you saying. "The coffee is already made you cannot add tea in it" so I must say, " mix two flavors, Im ok with an upcharge", well they don't understand. Super frustrating.

It's become somewhat of a Saturday afternoon tradition for my husband and I to grab a milk tea and some mochi donuts from Fat Straws - highly recommend you do the same.

I've been to several other Fat Straws locations over the years, as well as plenty of other boba/tea house chains and Fat Straws is doing something right. Sure, not everything is a banger - there are some drinks that are too sweet or not strong enough, but i'm sure they're someone else's favorite! This shop specifically has to be the fastest - our order is usually ready before my card is finished processing.

The drinks are super consistent, the chewy puff/mochi donuts are outstanding (please bring back the passion fruit!!), and their rewards program kind of helps offset the price if you're a regular.

Addison's best kept secret is Fat Straws at Alpha Rd and Noel. Tucked away on the ground floor of the Cleo Luxury Apartment complex, if you blink you might miss it. Fat Straws doesn't have a storefront on Alpha or Noel and their signage isn't great, so keep a sharp eye out! The thing that sets this location apart is their warm customer service. My favorite barista(?) is Leidy who works days. She always greets me when I walk in and knows my post-workout drink by heart (PB Banana Protein Smoothie). I call her a smoothie operator. What could be more refreshing than a delicious smoothie on a hot summer day, or anytime really?
