I went to this place at least twice a month last summer. It’s been a few months since I’ve last been. The ambiance is pretty chill, and the employees are pretty responsive and quick to notice you. There’s enough seating inside for at least 30-40 people as well, and when I went there were about 10 people there. My usual order is a Tandoori Masala Chicken Bowl (medium spice). It seems like they’ve changed how they create their bowls. In the past, I used to have salad placed on top of the chicken + rice rather than a separate section like the one today. To me it felt like I wasn’t given as much chicken and rice. The amount of chickpeas (chana) and paneer present in the dish didn’t seem like a lot either. I also found a piece of chicken where the cartilage/bones were left. I know this isn’t very normal based on previous times I’ve been here so that’s why I’ve given this a 4/5. I still plan to go back, and hopefully next time I’ll have a better experience.

I went to chophouse and asked for recommendations. They recommended the Manhattan bowl which is one of their specialties. It seemed like too much food for me so I got the gyro sandwich with fries and 2 falafel. I should have gone with their recommendations because what I got was small and not a good value for my money. There were only 3 small pieces of gyro meat on my sandwich, the fries were cold and limp and the falafel was ok. There were way too many unnecessary gloopy sauces that didnt enhance the meal. It just made it gooey and sloppy. It was almost $15 for that. I only live 3 blocks away so the fries should not have been cold. They need to reevaluate their pricing because there was a big disparity between the value of the menu items. Because of my experience I won't go back again.

Good food - HORRIBLE quality control. I order from chop house about once every week. I like to order the chickpea and paneer masala bowl plus I order 3 sides of white sauce. This helps me turn one meal into 3 - by making my own salad and adding the rice mixture over the top. At least 3 times they have changed the size of the side cups from large and fair for $1.50, to tiny and absurd for the same price. This week, I got 3 extras, per usual, for $4.47 and each one of them was filled only halfway. It isn't enough for 3 salads and that's expensive for a side of salad dressing. One week they completely skip putting vegetables in my bowl. I never know what I'm going to get. Considering boycotting this place for the fact that it's never consistent and it's a rip off.

Working late and I was happy to discover a new falafel joint practically around the corner from my offce that looked identical to another restaurant that I love and frequent (“Chopped Halal Grill” in Richardson, TX). I was excited and prepared to order my usual chicken and rice bowl, but after seeing a pretty noticeable, dried film of dirt and dust running all along the salad service area as well as the entire front counter looking rather messy (crumbs, etc), I was very discouraged to order anything from that area. Still, I was very hungry, so I tried their falafel and onion rings instead, which I hoped would be safer. Their falafel was “ok” at best; it was a bit dry and I didn’t like that they really overindulged their falafel with cumin spice which made it taste very “fishy”. Upon closer inspection, I realized this isn’t Chopped Halal Grill at all. Wow, I never ate at a restaurant that so blatantly plagiarized another restaurant’s logo, menu, etc. There’s best practices in every industry that players in that industry should try to replicate and implement, and then there’s creative materials that belong solely to the owner (e.g. copyright materials) and would be immoral to reuse at will. It was really disheartening to find a seemingly gross theft of creative materials by this establishment and that I fell for it. However, they are NOTHING of the quality, cleanliness, or taste of Chopped Halal Grill. My sadness was compounded by the fact this restaurant supposedly serves Halal food (food that complies with Islamic rulings), but the religious spirit, in my opinion, is grossly diminished by their theft of creative materials from Chopped Halal Grill. Never again for a...

Summary- This is a quant little establishment with food that will make you feel happily satisfied. Sadly I don't have any photos to upload since the food was so tempting I just had to eat it without delay and totally forgot about taking photos for the reviews.

Details - Me and my friend had the Lamb Gyro shawarma, the chicken Tikka masala bowl, the chicken samosa and mango lassi. Don't get hesitant due to a mixture of Indian and Mediterranean dishes coz the Lamb Gyro Shawarma and the Chicken Tikka masala bowl were both great as per their respective cuisine. The shawarma had fresh cooked Lamb Gyro meat with lettuce, tomatoes green peppers, onions and tatziki sauce. Honestly anything more than that is a modification to the original. The bowl had Tikka chicken with masala rice (yes, the rice was also flavoured; simply amazing) and other veggies. A simple trick of adding a pinch of Chat masala on the chicken Samosa was enough to make it finger licking good. And Finally the mango Lassi, nowhere in the States have we had such thick and richly flavoured mango Lassi. The cost for each of these items are also perfectly priced considering the good amount of quantity for each item. So, in all it's a good establishment to have quick Mediterranean or Indian bites on a lunch break or to have a quick dinner as well. Sadly I don't have any photos to upload since the food was so tempting I just had to eat it without delay and totally forgot about taking photos for...

This place just isn't it. They got overwhelmed with a big crowd and didn't know how to stay calm while meeting the demand. It was three people working, and of those, two prepared the food. Instead of having one person on meats/the grill and the other on toppings, each person tried to fulfill an order. The cashier did not come into the floor to restock napkins, utensils so fortunately their supply was accessible. The bathroom could use some upkeep, no paper towels and low on tissues. After waiting for over 30 minutes for my order, I was not impressed. It was not hot, nor flavorful, lacked some toppings, and had an excess of sauce. The fries sat out on the counter and were served cold. Having had authentic gyros, it was disappointing to see them pull out frozen lamb slices. The two people preparing the food kept the same gloves on, the duration of my wait all while touching everything as they prepared the food. They were rude when people didn't accept the order because it was prepared the wrong way. The group really threw them off their game and instead of closing at 9, at 8 they were done. Not what I expected from the...
