Experience started out really intriguing and exciting. Loved the door man who took us through the elevator, he didn’t break character and he was friendly yet spooky.
Once inside the excitement quickly wore off. There was a lack of direction and too many ppl jammed pack in certain rooms. At one point my 8yr old said what would everyone do if there was a fire. There is a lack of staff in the “hotel” helping and guiding guests. Also not sure if this was planned but some rooms had a very disgusting smell.
There should be signs, arrows, and less ppl in at once, and more hotel staff making sure everyone has a chance to take photos and isn’t hogging up certain rooms.
At one point we were pretty much trapped in a hallway because two girls and a guy asked everyone to move so they could record a VIDEO scene and I was just trying to get out of this smelly room that was making me really nauseous. They had ppl standing at one end of the hall and the others including my daughter and in the smelly room along with 14 other ppl. Once they were done they kindly stood in the view of our pic even starring at our camera (this is them in the photos with my daughter and I cropped out since they wanted to be in our pics so bad).
Needs better “staff” at the Boomont so everyone can take their photos as that’s really all this is.
It’s not worth the price and doesn’t compare to their other...
Read more-Company used AI to create the videos and many photos in this experience. AI slop is everywhere, but the gall to charge you $25 bucks for it -Much of the non AI art is implemented very, very sloppily. If you've been to Meow Wolf or something similar, you know what it looks like when artists are given time and creative space. That's not the case here. -This is sold as a haunted hotel but the theme is all over the place. One room is a spooky laboratory, another is a cursed tiki room, yet another is a graveyard in the middle of the hotel. It feels less like a hotel haunted or filled with science gone wrong, and more like a bunch of semi-random room ideas -The experience is billed as "spooky, not scary" but there are a number of air jets designed to startle people. These jets are LOUD and one of the groups near us had a special needs member who was really upset by them. -Safety issues all over the place. The spaces are all pretty tight, there aren't many exits, and the real exits can be hard to spot from the exit signs that are part of the experience. If this got even remotely crowded it could get dangerous fast. -There are some solidly cool rooms here and there, but the aforementioned issues don't offset what a slipshod experience this is. Save your money and go to any of the many other Dallas Halloween...
Read moreReally good potential! I enjoyed most aspects of it, but there were some details that really stuck out in a bad way :/ The experience started out really strong with a guide and then we were kind of just released to go explore, which isn't necessarily a bad thing, I liked getting to explore the place at our own pace. All the rooms had great attention to detail, decor-wise, and it was fun to look around at everything and use the photo areas they set up. I feel like they tried to make a story for us to follow that kind of fell flat with lack of puzzles and clues to find. There were some phones scattered about that we were supposed to be able to listen to, but half of them weren't working. The part that I disliked the most was the heavy use of AI generated photos and videos. It's ugly and creepy (not in a fun way) and kind of makes it feel like they didn't care enough to hire actors and artists to make something that would have been infinitely better quality. It's a little disheartening and disappointing to see what is clearly a very talented and creative team use such a soulless and tacky method to finish out the experience. If this event comes back next year, it would be lovely to see some more thought and effort put into that aspect, otherwise it was great and well put together, albeit a...
