I was super excited to come to this exclusive spa in Dallas, TX while traveling visiting family. As you will see from my profile I travel a lot doing reviews all over the U.S. This one was different. Why? This was my first Ritz-Carlton experience. As you will see from the photos no expense was taken in this elegant so real experience. As I drove into the front of the hotel lobby I was greeted by valet ready to take my car. I quickly told them I was here for the spa this trip and no room for the night. They gave me the ticket and I was off to the floor the spa was located. As I walk out of the gold plated elevator my eyes immediately noticed the white marble floors that brings back fond memories in Jordan at a palace. The air, atmosphere, colors, and decor was screaming luxury but in a calming way. As i pulled on the glass doors I was greeted by the spa front desk staff. I was told to bring a bathing suit but left it in my car and remembered just then. I told the young lady at check-in to have her immediately radio valet to go get my suitcase from my car and brought it up to me. I was very impressed already. As I waited for my suitcase I looked around at the items for sale nothing but the best from face mask, selection of lady dresses/shirts, to lotions and perfume. Everything was bright, spotless and perfectly placed to gaze over.
This is when I met my own personal male lockerroom attendant/ conceiur Jay. Jay was absolutely amazing. Why? The spa is a maze and he made sure I never got lost. He was always one step ahead of me in my needs or request. Jay made the experience for me here. He took the time to show me the male waiting area where I had lunch after my massage to the large locker rooms to the spa/steam room, and sauna area. He even put more eucalyptus in the steam room for me just before I went in. This helped open my lung for optimal condition.
I loved the way the male area was setup you could tell there was a lot of thought taken in for maximum luxury for men. I have no idea what the ladies side looked like but I loved our side. Their was a common room where we could get together with the ladies for a meal while there too.
Now, to the heart of this review and why I gave only 4 stars. I take pride in my experiences and rarely give negative feedback unless warranted. I will happily pay for higher quality things in life like the Ritz-Carlton spa but to be cheated out of 20 minutes of a 80 minute massage I paid for is unexceptable. I don't mind paying 235 dollars for a 80 minute massage but it was only 60 minutes. Then my massage therapist asked about addition services like oils etc. I was never fully clear on what they were or the fees for this services. The massage therapist just told me to sign my name to the document and don't worry about what it says. I was alittle puzzle by this statement but went ahead. I was charged about a 100 dollars for the these oils that was used on my neck and head. I need to also add the massage was mediocre at best and my personal massage therapist in Chattanooga hands down better plus way cheaper. Again this is not about price but quality given in services. Other than the massage I had a blast with Jay pampering me with food and using all the menities in the men's locker area.
Would I personally recommend this spa ? Absolutely. But I will not go back to that massage therapist again.
Will I return again when I town? Absolutely.
Don't take my word for it, go try it out for yourself.

Andrew refunded my massage and overnighted me a gift certificate to my house. It was a really thoughtful gesture and took me by surprise. I am really grateful for the immediate action.
My mother, aunt, cousin and I are all going in a few days to have a girls day at the spa and weâre all extremely excited. Thanks Andrew!
Visited on 3/22/24 I recently visited the spa on March 22nd and had a pretty disappointing experience. For context, I booked a Relaxation Massage for my mother and myself. Itâs probably our fourth time visiting together over the past couple years and the last two visits for me have been nothing short of subpar.
My masseuse was really kind and thoughtful but her technique and experience was not commensurate with the cost of this massage or the overall expectation one has when visiting the Ritz.
I was really hesitant to say something to the host when checking out but my experience was so disappointing and I didnât leave anymore relaxed, after an 80m massage, than when I arrived. I mentioned that my massage was pretty terrible to the host and that I wasnât comfortable paying the expected 23% tip. The host kindly inquired why I had a bad experience and I shared the aforementioned lack of technique and general poor massage. I also mentioned how the masseuse was wearing a bracelet during the massage and I could feel it rubbing on my skin during the massage. The host, I believe her name was Shelley, reassured me that the manager would call me and reschedule a massage to make things right. I paid the full $265 for the massage and did not pay the 23% tip so when Shelley mentioned they would make it right by scheduling another one, I was actually really relieved and felt that was fair considering the cost of the massage. She told me quite a few times not to worry and appreciated me letting her know about my experience.
Itâs been six days and the manager has not called to reschedule. To have the massage be poor, only to get my hopes up for the reschedule, and then have the manager not call, itâs affirmed my experience being pretty poor as a whole and thatâs shocking considering this is the Ritz Carlton.
My mother had a WONDERFUL massage and left feeling really refreshed. She was very pleased and paid the full 23% tip. She even asked for the masseuses name in case she wanted to come back and schedule w her again.
The irony in this whole situation is after Shelley mentioned I would get a rescheduled massage, I told my mom that we should come back again with my whole family as a girls day. Iâm fully aware two people can have drastically different experiences and it be worth trying again. But for me to pay the $265, be promised a reschedule, and then not hear back, after being ready to spend even more money in a few weeks with a bigger group of women, puts a pretty poor taste in my mouth.
Safe to say though that I donât anticipate returning soon because of this poor experience and would rather go somewhere that will provide a massage commensurate with the price and the customer service if it doesnât meet...
Read moreOur entire spa experience was very mediocre, for any kind of standards, not just a 5-star hotel spa or in this case a big brand name. We got a couple massage treatment. The staff was friendly. Too friendly to the point I got uncomfortable with some of the fake niceness and awkward pauses. The locker was very small and it created inconvenience changing in and out of clothing. The dÊcor and design can sure use a good update (for the entire hotel actually). Their tea and snack collection was very good though. Our massages however were not. Mine felt like inconsistent pressures (very on and off) but mostly someone angry rubbing oil on me. I did get good treatment on my neck which I asked for but even that felt too painful for a regular Swedish massage. The massage had some good moments but felt a bit odd and I could not wait for it to be over. My boyfriend said he did not feel anything, even though I even heard him asking for more pressure during the massage. Towards the end he said he felt like the massage never even happened. The lady asked him if he wanted CBD oil during his treatment and later we realized they charged an extra $50 for that for one person. Very overpriced. The prices they mentioned online also did not match with the bill we received. Now the biggest issue was the amenities layout. We could not see each other at all other than during the massage or use any of the amenities together, including the waiting room and the jacuzzi. It was odd and took away the whole point of going there with my boyfriend. Honestly it was such a deal breaker that I wished they mentioned when I called to book an appointment for a couple spa experience. I had no idea what he was up to or when he was planning to get out so I had to check my phone multiple times so I could align my time with him. So I had to keep texting and that gave me stress so I couldn't really enjoy any of the amenities. He did end up waiting for me for a good few minutes in the lobby while I got ready after I saw his text. It was just not a couple treatment. And my robe did not feel very clean with someone else hair on it and the massage table...
