On August 27, I ventured into Shake shack on McKinney. now I initially went in places was nice and pleasant, but i am DoorDasher coming to pick up an order. I look over at the pick up area and there were no items placed so when I was going initially to the front to ask if the items being made or maybe how long it was going to be, I was interrupted by a employee saying that picked up food is on the side. I figured that they did not know that they were none over there in the place because of the angle they had. Which is understandable . Have I had not been interrupted in saying that there was no orders on that side I would’ve been OK. but the interaction that I received with a very big heavy set black guy that was on the right hand side cooking when I entered, left me with a bad taste in my mouth and highly frustrated calling someone inappropriate words just because of the confusion that you or they may have not known. It astonished me that he doesn’t think that we cannot hear him in the open kitchen. You are not behind a sound proof glass. Everything that you are saying I heard and was inappropriate. You don’t have to call someone out of their name or character. While talking to another coworker, he stated “that I saw him look over there and then come over here. Why they act stupid. It irks me. Etc….” Even as another coworker tries to explain maybe some people just doesn’t know and maybe it’s their first time. From this coming from an older person that should be wise and way more mature. Aswell able to handle a situation like this with self control. Keeping all negative and personal thought to contained to themselves. Especially while I am still in the store!!!!! is very disturbing. I later found out that the employee name is Rodrick. when trying to address the situation solely with him so would have to go no further to let him know that everything he said was heard I carry no ill will towards him, but the way he still handled that interaction was still poorly. And Lead me to talk to the manager Hunter, which is very polite and handled the situation accordingly. Hopefully in the future, he would take more consideration or thought into what he is saying when there is an open kitchen or better yet just keep everything in his mind. Personal problems or distain for the situation of people around you does not need to be openly said while working especially in an area where you’re directly in front of...
Read moreToday, I visited Shake Shack and delved into their newly introduced Veggie Shack burger, I must admit, it was an extraordinary experience. As a vegetarian who seeks savory alternatives beyond the typical "beyond meat" patty, the Veggie Shack burger offered a refreshing departure from the norm.
Comprising a medley of ingredients like mushrooms, sweet potatoes, carrots, farro, and quinoa, the Veggie Shack burger presented a harmonious fusion of flavors and textures. Unlike many other plant-based fast food options, this burger retained its identity as a celebration of whole vegetables. Each bite was a revelation, allowing me to savor the distinct taste and crunch of every individual component, from the earthy mushrooms to the slightly sweet carrots.
Nestled within Shake Shack's signature fluffy potato roll, the Veggie Shack patty was a revelation. Its juicy and flavorful nature dispelled any reservations I might have had about a vegetarian burger's capacity to captivate the palate. The amalgamation of American cheese, pickle medallions, and crispy fried onions elevated the burger to a whole new level of gratification. The accompanying Shack Sauce, a medley of pickle brine, mayo, ketchup, and mustard, contributed a delightful tangy kick that harmonized flawlessly with the ensemble.
What truly set this burger apart was its commitment to authenticity. Instead of disguising plant-based elements, the Veggie Shack burger celebrated them, presenting a palate-pleasing symphony of tastes that highlighted the essence of each vegetable. This culinary approach makes it a must-try for vegetarians and non-vegetarians alike, as it challenges preconceived notions of what a plant-based burger can be.
In conclusion, Shake Shack's Veggie Shack burger is an ode to vegetarian fare that stands as a testament to innovation and flavor. It's not just a burger; it's a culinary journey that tantalizes taste buds and satisfies even the heartiest of appetites. This experience has firmly secured its place on my list of favorite indulgences, and I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone seeking a uniquely satisfying dining experience at...
Read moreFood is good and the shakes are bomb, but not a good experience at this location. I ordered a regular sized meal with my wife for our date night tonight. After a good 20 minutes, I went in to check on the food, noticing it was not really busy, and the guy says my ticket it still up on the screen. I stand there and watch him pick up items that had been sitting for who knows how long. When I tell him people behind us in line had already gotten and finished their food, he replies he is just doing what is on the screen. So my food is cold but whatever, but that $6 shake was all melted from sitting, so I take that back and ask for a new one, showing it to him. After another ten minutes standing there, they bring out 3 shakes for another customer and everybody disappears to the back. One girl comes back and said they had to go make more whipped cream for my shake. Listen, the reason I'm standing there in the first place is because they neglected my order. Why wouldnt they make my shake and send me off, and make the other customer's shake with their fresh made loogey cream?? I ask for my money back, I don't even want it anymore, and my wife is outside by herself waiting for me this whole time. Ruined date night. They say the register is closed, cant give a refund. I insist, so they escalate. After 5 minutes of what seemed to be the manager trying to get into the register, she gives up and gives me $6 out of her purse. I did appreciate that, at least she made it right, by whatever means. The shakes are amazingly good, but common sense seemed to be lacking tonight. I know it was close to closing, but do it right or dont do it at all. Maybe I'll come back in a few months and at a different time of day; would hate to let one bad experience keep me away from...
