We’ve been looking everywhere for good Indian food since our long time favorite closed. We had never heard of this restaurant, but saw the reviews and noticed it was nearby. Turns out it is in the location of another of our favorite restaurants that closed years ago (the old Buzz Brews on Central in the La Quinta parking lot). We took that as a good sign!

Getting out of the car we could smell the traditional smell of Indian food. It smelled so good. The restaurant is clean and colorful and the staff was so friendly and accommodating.

We ordered our favorites, chicken tikka masala (medium spicy), samosas (one of each kind). and butter naan. We also tried something new, mutter paneer (medium spice).

The food arrived fast and hot! The medium spice is plenty spicy for us (cleared my sinuses!) and the flavor was wonderful. Each dish had plenty of sauce to soak up with the naan and rice. The samosas were yummy as were the sauces that came with them.

Instead of ordering just an order of naan, we got it with hummus. The naan was buttery and delicious and I used it mostly to eat the tikka masala. The hummus was okay, but I probably wouldn’t order it again. The manager asked for feedback and I said personally I felt it needed more garlic, but I don’t really go to Indian restaurants to have hummus so take it with a grain of salt.

If you are not a big eater, the portion is big enough to share, especially if you get appetizers. Each dish was 16oz. Between the two of us, we ate all of everything we ordered and were plenty full. We are big eaters, fwiw.

We were too full for dessert, but the manager brought us a traditional Indian dessert for free just to try. It is the rice pudding/kheer. It was lovely! Light, a little sweet, and a nice (light) cardamom flavor with slivered almonds on top. (We ate it all before I took the photo!)

Give them a try. They are a wonderful addition...

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Elephant Indian Grill , and I must say, it was an outstanding experience from start to finish. As a newly opened Indian restaurant, they have set the bar high with their exceptional food and impeccable service.

The menu offers a fantastic selection of traditional Indian dishes, each bursting with rich flavors and aromatic spices. I tried the Chicken Momo’s, hummus, Chicken Tikki and Paneer, they were absolutely delicious—perfectly balanced in taste, well-presented, and cooked to perfection. The naan was fresh and fluffy, the curries were packed with depth, and the appetizers were a delightful start to the meal.

Beyond the food, the service was exceptional. The staff was warm, welcoming, and attentive without being intrusive. They took the time to explain the menu, offer recommendations, and ensure that every detail of our dining experience was perfect.

The ambiance was inviting, with a blend of modern and traditional decor that made for a cozy yet elegant setting. Given that this is a new establishment, they have certainly made a remarkable first impression.

I highly recommend Elephant Indian Grill to anyone looking for authentic Indian cuisine paired with top-notch service. I’ll definitely be...

My friend shared with me about a change in the businesses in our travel zone. We both enjoy exploring and supporting new and small businesses in the area. Today would bring us to a new restaurant on the intersection of Central Expressway near fitzhugh. The Elephant Induan Bar and Grill.

Upon entry, we noted everything was clean, bright, and new. White shiny plates and clear sparkly glasses on well-appointed tables.

We can sense the anticipation and excitement from the professional staff to provide hospitality and service.

The menu was extensive and not overwhelming, just the perfect balance of traditional starters, entrys, and currated compliments.

We both decided on a perfect option of a mid day meal. My friend with a poultry curry jasmine rice chickpeas with a portion of chilled rice pudding.

I with the lamb rice chickpea and the chilled rice pudding. Additionally, the sevice included the most delicious buttered nan bread.

To prepare for our meal, the kitchen provided a delicious lentil soup to keep us warm this cold day and set our taste buds for the meal to come.

The presentation was perfect hot fresh and delicious.  I am not acostumed to India cuisine, but this experience has sparked an interest.

Bravo to Elephant Indian...
