This coffee shop is only open till 4pm, daily. What kind of coffee shop is open till 4? We need caffeine later in the day too in efforts to help keep us doctors, engineers, and other professions that don't work the normal 8-5 up and alive later on throughout the night. One more thing, they don't offer wifi over the weekend. WHATTTT the...?!?! When one of the employees told me that, I thought he was kidding. He explained that they don't offer wifi over the weekends because they want their customers to disconnect and disengage from the internet and social media, to better interact with the people surrounding them. What about the people that have careers that require them to work over the weekend? One positive - one of the employees really made an effort to engage in conversations with me, because he saw that I was alone, working on my computer with NO wifi. From a customer service standpoint, I was very pleased however, this place takes away a lot of purposes of being a coffee shop, one of them being unable to work/study on the weekends due to the lack of wifi.
As for my order, I got a hot chocolate that was pretty decent, but they didn't add any whipped cream. This place is definitely far from a traditional coffee place, and not in the most...
Read moreI rarely write a bad review. I’ve been a customer since they opened. They have people working there who seem nice until you ask them to correct an order that wasn’t made properly. Then their attitude shifts to being sarcastic and making me the customer wrong—who was paying almost $7 to get an iced breve flat white that still tastes like coffee. It’s the principle of not supporting places who don’t value the customer. I purchase from places who care and LDU doesn’t care now that they have a lot of customers. I tried to talk with a manager. She wouldn’t look me in the eye and told me we won’t change your drink if it comes out different than it is supposed to be. I tried to reason with them and after the third person was rude—I’m no longer a customer. I will not recommend it and I will not take my clients there. It’s sad since it’s within walking distance. Treat your customers better. Especially people who have supported you since...

-LDU Coffee is a lovely Australian coffee shop in the upgraded Fitzhugh area of Dallas, Texas. -It's very hard to find a 5 star Yelp reviewed anything these days, especially w/ over 100 reviews, so my wife & I really wanted to check it out. -The minimalist layout is very bright & warm w/ wooded and grayish tones. -You'll also notice the hometown decor (i.e. Dallas teams bobbleheads, etc...) -We ordered a drip coffee & mocha, which were both highly caffeinated & gave us both a nice little energetic buzz for the rest of the day. -I really liked the "locker room" feel when you enter the restroom area.
Overall, it was a pleasure to meet Mark as he greeted us upon entry/exit. I highly recommend coming here if you are looking for great coffee & a place to check your work emails or to meet w/...
