Warning: if you use a gift card here, be aware. My brother gave my daughter a $150 gift card for ON. She rarely used it but then bought a few things. Recently she purchased clothes to go on job interviews and she used her gift card. After the purchase we were given our bag and receipt. I asked the cashier where was the gift card. She said we used the balance up completely. I paused and thought ok. My daughter yelled out, that card had over $100 on it and her purchase was only $50 plus. How is it used? I pulled out the receipt and looked at the bottom of it. The balance said she had $58 left on the gift card!! I immediately asked for a manager. We were not leaving without my daughter's card. A female manager came out and we told her the situation. She went over to the cashier and asked her about it and what do you know! The cashier still had the gift card! It wasn't in the garbage; nope she had it in her pocket!!!
She handed it to the manager and the manager gave it to us. We absolutely will not be back to this ON! You'd think the manager would have said sorry about that or at least told the cashier that she needs to speak with her but she just went back to whatever she was doing! I have no doubt the cashier was trying to keep my daughter's gift card for her own personal use. Even if the amount had been spent, why would you not give us the card back?? I have done it before at other places. If the card is empty, there is no need for the cashier to keep it! I was angry about this incident and feel the need to issue the warning that even if the cashier says you used up your gift card balance to have the cashier return it to you and if not immediately summon a manager. Ā Ā Ā Read moreI really love shopping at this particular store in Davie. However today, it was a less than pleasurable experience. Anytime I have shopped here, there are more than enough cashiers. This morning, there was only one cahier at a register and I believe a manager, off register, helping one other person. This was about 10 am or so, on 2/17/2019. I got in line and the cashier was assisting a customer at the counter. I was next behind the customer at the counter. Then others came in line behind me. About 4-5 customers. We were in line for almost, I want to say, 10 minutes or about that, before I was waited on. And THEN another cashier came up at another register The thing that was most.... I don't know.... wrong(?) was the fact the cashier that was assisting the customer at the counter, NEVER acknowledged those if us waiting in line. Not one "I will be right with you" or anything. The same for the gentleman( manager) assisting the one customer. This is not good customer service. There was no reason for us to be waiting in line so long. She was standing there waiting on an older lady to go find a price. The ladies daughter said āTake herā she told herā¦āNo!ā After waiting for a whileā¦.I asked can you just ring me upā¦She refused!!!!! I put my merchandise down and asked a girl in the back for the Manager and UNFORTUNATELY it was the person that refused to ring me up! I was leaving for a cruise the next morning, but it was and still is my intention to contact corporate. Because as I was walking out she was clearing her register to take the next personā¦.STILL WAITING on the lady to come back. So, needless to sayā¦.There was a difference in race between me and the person she was getting ready to take.
