Beware of Bait and switch Price upcharges by Staff. They either dont honor their listed prices or choose to be spiteful with customers that don't get their card. Take pictures of all your item prices before you get to the cashier. - I went to this T.J. Maxx looking for a bathing suit for my daughter. It's tough finding one that fits right for her size. Luckily we found one that was perfect for her that was marked down with a yellow tag/sticker for $7. When we went to make our purchase the cashier was trying to convince me to get a T.J. Maxx credit card several times before completing our purchase. I declined her several offer attempts and she responded by rolling her eyes. She then said that she needed to get a new tag because this one would not scan for her. She walked directly to her supervisor and spoke for 3 - 5 minutes as I waited patiently with my daughter. When she came back she rang the item up at $17. I looked at the sticker which was now covered with a red stcker with price of $17 and I said, "ma'am there appears to be a mistake because now your charging me $10 more." She yelled, "This is The PRICE!" I politely disagreed and asked for her Manager and was a approached by a woman named Marilyn. I informed her of the situation and was told that this was supposed to be $17 but I read it wrong. I said, "excuse me but you completely covered the sticker up and never informed me of any issue with the price which was clearly marked $7." I asked to see it again and Marilyn refused. She instead clutched the bathing suit to her chest and stepped backwards. I stated that she obviously knows that I am right but I will not pay her $17 just to prove a point. My daughter and I were really dissapointed by their actions. They not only lost a customer in me but now my daughter and her High school friends know not to bring their business...
Read moreThis store really needs a lot of front end coordination. They're definitely loaded with merchandise so that isn't a problem and they are loaded with customers the problem is having enough cashiers to check people out. When I was there the line snake nearly to the front door and people were just leaving their baskets and going about their own business because they couldn't do business at the store of the line was just preposterous. I think price wise there are some discounts it takes a while to really make your way through the store and usually I go to the gourmet food section and it was truly well stocked but I couldn't buy anything because there would be no way to stand in that line for as long as I would have to with this few cashiers as they there were. I think this can be a great store if they have consistent front end regulation and I also will put this in as a review having somebody come in just to open up a register to take care of two or three clients and not fully clearing the line would not be an acceptable way to regulate this I mean they had probably people in line and it yes it was on a weekend and that's when you really have to get your business being done properly. That means taking care of all of the people within a reasonable frame of time and I do understand a lot of people come in they have issues like returns returns exchange etc etc and that can plug up the line especially when you have tourists and they've maxed out their credit card and then it becomes an argument on whether they can buy something in the people refuse to leave the line to call their credit card company but that's where having enough cashiers...
Read moreI was very unhappy with Marylin L.’s customer service. Instead of being nice about a problem with a return, explain to me what happened and give me a solution, she just told me the return is declining with an attitude. Honestly, to be spoken to like that hurt. Asked her what I can do and she said I count do anything. Then after asking nicely 3 times and asking if I could call someone, she finally told me to call the number of the paper she gave me. I was being nice the whole time, I didn’t ask for this attitude. I even asked her if she could wrap my candle cause I didn’t want it to break and she said no with an attitude. I asked her if she could wrap it with plastic bags and she was so annoyed with me and didn’t even try. Had to ask her to do it better and kept giving me an attitude. It’s horrible to have to deal with people like this specially when I’m just being polite and doing my best to stay polite after this kind of treatment.
I do have to say, when I was in line I overheard a man give great customer service to this woman commenting about a Paramore concert while ringing her up and he had such positive attitude specially with all the work the store has. That’s the kind of people you...
