I placed an online order at 7:46pm. The order confirmation said the order should be ready at 8:01pm. I got to the restaurant at 8:00pm and told them I was there to pick up an online order. The cashier told me it was not ready. I went back outside until 8:06pm and then followed up. Still not ready. Now I waited in the restaurant because I’m thinking maybe it’s almost done. It is now 8:15pm and I ask the young lady packing the orders for a status. I explained to her the time I ordered and she simply said we have a lot going on. I wasn’t pleased with her response but I understood. It’s Friday evening and the restaurant is busy. They probably had a lot of pick up orders. What got me really annoyed is the fact that at least 3-4 customers who walked in behind me and placed an order in store, got their food before me. How does that make sense? So if I had placed my order when I walked in at 8 maybe I would have gotten my food faster? Another young lady was also waiting on her order and noticed the same and asked a young man what’s going on? Can you tell me when I’m going to get my food? I placed my order almost 45 mins ago (which was almost the same time I did) and he asked the woman packing the meals and she said I don’t know all the tickets are behind the counter. At 8:25PM a young man came and asked me if I was waiting on an online order n I said yes. It’s been 45 mins. He apologized and asked me if I wanted something to drink while I waited. I declined because I was really mad. I said if I don’t get my food by 8:30PM, cancel my order. He told the lady packing the food and only then did she ask the meal preps if they have a ticket with my name. N they said yes. At 8:31PM I walked out of the restaurant and went home. The email gives a number to call if you have problems with your meal. I called 4 times and got no answer and was not directed to a VM. When sitting down, I noticed that my burger didn't have bacon (which I specifically clicked on and understand it's an additional charge of $1.99). Then, my son bit into his burger and found that it had jalapenos in it. Pickles and fresh jalapenos slices do not look the same!! Two bacon cheeseburgers I ordered had maybe three bacon crumbled pieces on each burger (not bacon strips). When my husband called to speak with a manager, an associate answered, and as my husband was explaining the situation, he hears background noise by some people saying, "aaawwww." As in sucks for us. It wouldn't be an "awwww" situation if my son was allergic to jalapenos and needed to go to the ER, correct? Absolutely unacceptable. The associate said that we can come get the refund for the bacon. After he told me this, we called back and explained that the whole reason we had it delivered was because we weren't feeling well. And if we were going to drive there to get a refund, I expect the whole check to be refunded. So, now, we have to drive there, walk into a restaurant while sick and interact with staff. Why couldn't it be refunded over the phone? I am so disappointed with the way this was handled. It wasn't a lunch rush or anything for this burger to be served so poorly in quality and presentation. There are signs in restaurant talking about grade A beef being better than competitors but I've NEVER had worse looking and tasting beef than from here. Looked worse than undercooked high school cafeteria meat and I even but into two hard cartilage as I chewed the beef. Is it so fresh that they grounded up some bone cartilage or cow teeth in this beef? Really disappointing lunch. No complaints about the cashier service and other cleaning staff working there. I used my deal for first time making an order on the burger fi app and those were fine but to pay $13 after tax and tip for a burger I can get at McDonald's for $1 is horrible.
