DG Market — Local services in Daytona Beach

Horrible customer service. They have public restrooms but will not let every paying customer use them. I ate something that was causing diarrhea and went to buy some immodium. Despite having 2 restrooms, they would not let me use them. When I told them I was having diarrhea and that was why I was buying immodium, the lady at the register told me to leave. I told her I would after paying for my items, and she said no. I placed $20 on the counter and told her that was more than what I was buying so she could ring it up or not, but I was walking out with it. She said she would call the police. I told her to call the police and tell them someone walked out of the store after paying for medicine they needed. She rang it up and told me not to come back.

FYI, I know these restrooms are public because, unlike the other stores in Daytona, there is not a sign that says no public restrooms. Also, I saw a young teenager walk out of the restroom and leave the store. I will be looking to contact the corporate office and the manager of...

Dollar general, especially this one is the epitome of unprofessional, unskilled workers gathering in a place to pick up a paycheck. This store just opened and I was sent a coupon in the mail for $5 off a $20 purchase. I went into the store today, but my coupon wouldn't scan. Instead of calling a manager, the employee working only confirmed that I was shit out of luck. Upon calling corporate I was transferred from one person who was barely able to speak English to another person, Menda, probably an independent contractor working telemarketing who left me on hold for probably about 20 minutes while she shuffled around her car and listened to the radio. It's great to have any store like this one around here. We've only had 7-11's for a long time. I had a great experience with the cashiers I dealt with. Whatever is going on with management, they handled themselves and every obstacle with sympathy and humor. It does seem very unorganized and understaffed though. Prices aren't right or are missing or unclear. But having a food store in the area is a huge plus so I for one plan to support this place while they get...
