I had a really bad experience there tonight. I was buying a bunch of gifts for folks. I selected chocolate-covered pretzels as a snack while I shopped. They were stale and inedible. I asked the shopkeeper if she would kindly not charge me for this item because I only a small bit and it tasted pretty disgusting. She refused, which based on my experience with buying food is a common courtesy. Not to mention, I was buying about $150 worth of other goods. Long story short, I decided to not purchase those items. I was a long time customer of this store. Today, I finally asked how I might request that the demeaning pictures of, and mocking comments about accused shoplifters could be moved behind the counter. The salesperson lost her mind and dismissed the suggestion, was rude and sarcastic, and was generally indifferent to the thought (even though I had just asked how I could get the feedback to the owners). I would like to support small business, but this white owned and white staffed store with a black collage of disdain will no longer be my go-to for overpriced...

This place has cool stuff! Especially if you need a quick but thoughtful gift. I have been coming here About since they opened. Unfortunately it doesn’t matter how loyal I have been I am stalked by employees in this store. This is the case at other retail spots in Decatur as well. I know it’s next to the train but I’ve watched the employees and they don’t watch just anyone maybe I look like someone who’s stolen from them before “if you catch my drift” but I won’t spend another dime here plus they’re price for hershal bags is waaaay higher...
