1st, I want to make a public apology to anyone I referred here. I wish I could give zero stars. As a person that desires to always speak and walk in integrity l, I’m sorry. It’s taken me a moment to write this review as I was truly hurt as I really cared for the owners. my husband and I have bought multiple pieces over the last few years..Trusting this “3rd generation jeweler” only to learn she is a 3rd generation Con. I made payments to buy this ring for my husband for Christmas having been told it was a precious stone of jade only to have the “stone” be cheap plastic, like (tiddly winks) fall out a few months later. It set back in place but you can see the lil cracks. I took it back to her and with tears I said I trusted you. She started off insisting “it is jade, I’m a 3rd generation jeweler ” then as I continued to say seriously, we took it somewhere else and you can hear it. She then proceeded to start mocking me and said, “well you bought it and we don’t do refunds” and then laughed as she said I actually paid 80 times what it was worth and went on to tear apart all of the other pieces I had bought and others that I was wearing that were gifts from other people. I truly believe her husband felt bad as he rubbed the piece of plastic between his fingers with his head bowed down quietly but she vehemently put him in his place in a language I don’t understand. I can’t help but wonder if the other generations would be proud of her con or if they would be heartbroken that she has taken a beautiful business of jewels and stones and corrupted it through...

I was a loyal customer until the owner's wife was non transparent after collecting $500 a month on my layaway for years. She breached her agreement to release items separately as I paid. My records showed I paid in full when she said I still owed more than $10,000. She was non transparent and refused to allow me to see my original layaway ticket denoting the applications of my monthly. Poor quality repairs, my 14K wat ch was destroyed when it only needed a battery. repairDo not patronize these crooks..poor quality merchandise and poor quality repairs. All jewelry that I purchased had to be returned and repair. They are untrustworthy. Charge too much for repairs and each item had to be returned. They expected me to pay for repairs a second time after the the two anklets, bracelet and watch were not repaired and simply fell apart. Do NOT SHOP Kismet CHEAP JEWELRY AND POOR REPAIRS. I use to love this store. Whenever I was downtown Decatur I would stop in and take a look. Finally for my birthday I decided to buy myself a ring. I didn’t have all of the money so they told me I can put it on layaway. Last week I ran into some financial issues an went to them to ask for my money back. They said NO no refund!! I wasn’t bringing the ring back they had it in their possession. I’ve worked in retail for years but OK that’s your policy crazy policy but whatever. U have my money can I have something that’s Worth what I put down? They told me NO!! Sooooo u can just keep my money? And I get what?? So I just threw away 200.00.
