Raging burrito is always a good time. I've never had a bad burrito and I've never finished my burrito in one sitting, lol. I had a short day at work the Monday before Christmas Eve and my dad had a coupon that was to expire soon so we came here for a late lunch. Wasn't many people in there that you could see and we sat ourselves, and I had to excuse myself to go wash my hands. When I returned we had menus and server came over asking if we were ready but bc I had just sat down we asked for water with lemons and a few more minutes. We got our waters and looked over the menu. I went to check in and realized there was a perk (YES!). We didn't see her for some time but when I did I waved her over and we placed our order. We got the chili cheese dip and chips (free with check in). I had the build your own raging burrito with spinach tortilla, tofu, onions, bell peppers, and mushrooms. My dad got the same except he had a sun dried tomato tortilla and his protein was chicken. We also ordered an El Jimador margarita pitcher. Chips and dip were brought out almost immediately and the margarita followed shortly after. My dad and I ate, drank, and talked then we started to notice we hadn't seen our server in a while and were wondering where our food was. Finally I saw her come over from the patio area and waved her over to ask. It was at this time I found out there was an event going on on the patio but she'll go check and came back less than a minute later. I don't know how long they had been back there ready but we were ready to eat. The burritos were bomb as usual. On the table were house made sauces, the green was our favorite. Didn't finish the full burrito so we got to go containers as well as a side of that green sauce! Other than service being a little slow, everything...

It was Cinco de Mayo, and we threw together a last-minute plan to grab some Mexican food. We made our way down to Decatur to check out Raging Burrito, a place we hadn’t tried before. I’d passed by it a few times but had never stopped in to eat. We arrived and noticed the shared parking lot that we had actually been to for another nearby restaurant. It was the usual scan-and-pay setups, but the pricing was kinda weird—$7 for 30 minutes or $19 for three hours. No in-between. I went with the $19 options this time. We walked into the outdoor patio area and were told we could sit wherever we liked. A few tables were open, the layout was relaxed and casual. Our server came by and handed us the drink menu. There weren’t many beer options, so we both went with the Raging Mexican Lager. Not long after, she returned with the food menus. After looking them over, Wifey ordered the Carnitas burrito bowl, and I went for the jerk chicken and pineapple burrito. Our beers arrived shortly after and the food followed surprisingly fast. We both dug in and were pleasantly surprised—everything tasted great, and the portion sizes were just right. After we finished, we walked through the restaurant and realized the front entrance opens directly onto downtown Decatur Square. Like I mentioned, I’d passed this spot before, but this was our first time dining here—and we’ll definitely be coming back. The food...
Read moreAside from the strange ordering process, the outdoor patio area was really nice. You walk in, pick a seat if a table is available, then order online. If you go after 6pm, the entire area is shaded. On their website, you can actually select the option to let the restaurant know that you are there. They send you a confirmation email with an estimated time and if you pay with your Apple ID then you get $2 off. Or maybe you get $2 off for being in the restaurant. It never really specified. Once your order is ready, they send you a text and you walk up to a station that’s set up alongside the tables in the patio to collect your order. There are several tables along the back where you can grab your own napkins, plates, utensils. Since we ate outside, I cannot comment on how the ordering process is done inside. It felt kind of a waste to leave a tip when we are the ones responsible for getting our own order and utensils, etc. The food was good but our order was wrong (no red salsa on the side as requested, missing toppings on the nachos, etc.) but it wasn’t worth the hassle to return and wait for the correct order to be made. Had the monster nachos, cheese quesadilla, and chips and queso. All were very good. They had old school music, nice lights set up, heaters if anyone needed them, and tiki torches to deter mosquitoes. Tables were 6’ apart and all employees were masked. Overall we had a good time and...
