As someone who’s very into fitness, I used to stubbornly cling to my regimen of cardio and strength training even though it rarely showed results. In an effort to branch out I forced myself to take a class at FIT36 Lodo in April of 2016, and subsequently became a member that same day. The 36-minute HIIT workouts provided by FIT have since proven to be a greater catalyst for physical change than every hour logged at the ‘regular gym’ combined. I began seeing major changes in my physique after only a few workouts and still continue to see amazing results 4 years later. You’re in and out in under an hour and leave every class with the best kind of muscle fatigue that only a full-body, high-intensity workout can provide. Beyond that, the community of trainers and members at the Lodo location in particular are fantastic. The widely held mentality of ‘not wanting to socialize at the gym’ just doesn’t exist, and I have literally made some of my greatest friends solely because I joined. FIT serves up workouts that are quick, challenging and legit mind-bogglingly effective. If you’re looking to have your a** kicked by a fitness routine that works, and for an amazing tribe of people to do it with, look no further than...
Read moreI joined Fit36 Lodo about 21 months ago and could not be more happy with the results from this amazing place. I have lost over 100 lbs and just by simply coming to class 5 to 7 times per week, yes it takes time and lots of effort but all the amazing staff keeps you motivated, from the moment you walk thru the door until you finish the workout. The HIIT training is done in 36 minutes (yes 36 minutes and you are DONE!) Also the circuits are new every 2 weeks, so there is no chance of getting tired of the same routines. Every single trainer is there to help you and without any attitude, they will adjust your work outs, they will correct you and cheer you every single day (did i mention there is NO attitude). One of the reasons i keep coming was the fact that these guys really care about getting you to the next level or your fitness, regardless of what experience you have prior. I want to thank all trainers (specially Darius) for always helping me realize i can do more I always wanted to be a person that could work out everyday -and actually be happy about it- and because of the Fit36 Lodo team i'm that person now! Thank you again Brad, Ned, Darius, Antoinette, Aimee and everyone...
Read moreI won’t be returning, as I believe clear communication should still come with kindness and respect.
I arrived to class five minutes late—which is rare for me—and was met by Brad, one of the instructors. Instead of a welcoming or understanding tone, he approached me with a firm and unfriendly demeanor, saying, “Don’t be late again.”
It felt like an unnecessarily harsh way to address someone, especially when you're paying for a service, not the other way around. On my way out, I still made a point to be friendly and thank him for the class, but again, he repeated the warning—“Don’t be late again”—with the same sternness.
I fully respect the importance of punctuality and understand that policies are in place for a reason. However, there are many ways to communicate expectations while maintaining a tone that is respectful, kind, and professional. The way we speak to people matters—and it can shape their...
